Ugh, this could be the best team the Bucks have for another 50 years and we're bottling it.

I didn't read the entire thread or any game thread.. anyone else notice that Midds was on Hali for like the last 4 min and the game was in contention.. how embarrassing... we need a better closing plan than that..

I can't see this team beating Phili, Miami, let alone Boston. And now we have to worry about the likes of Knicks and Pacers. Never thought I'd say that.

Those teams might be better matchups for us than the Pacers. None have a PG of Hali's quality to burn us the way he does.

The way the Bucks defend no one is a good matchup for them.

But they'll have Jimmy Butler's and Jayson Tatum's to torch Beasley and Khris.

I'll put myself out there for being tarred and feathered but we prob have more suitable personnel to guard Tates and Jimmy.

That's not to say they're good matchups for us. I just think Hali might be the worst matchup for of us in the league right now.

But it's certainly not just coaching. Not by a long shot. The players were lethargic and lazy. Complaining to the refs. You can't chalk it up to "we're an old team". Lack of hustle isn't an age thing, it's just lazy.

Yeah it's a long season. Six months/82 games is dumb. Every team has slumps. If you play hard and lose, so be it. Suck it up. I'd love to work 82 days a year for that money.

There is no easy fix. Finding the mythical "defensive stopper" isn't easy nor a magical potion.

We're a good team, we are contenders. So act like it.

I'm among the more optimistic here. I don't let losses bother me. But my patience is about gone.

On to San Antonio.

Have you ever been in a position where leadership is aggressively setting you up to fail? Not only can disorganization lead players to looking like they're not giving effort when instead it's confusion, but it's MUCH harder to go all out when you have no confidence in the process. Really feels like that's what's happening.

Brooks body language tonight spoke volumes.

I think Hali is a rough matchup and like 1 for 1 sure, maybe he gives us more trouble but I can't for the life of me imagine winning a track meet with Indy is harder than Maxey/Embiid, Boston's balanced attack or Spo with even 5 G-Leaguers.

Read in other forums where writers are describing Dame to be surprisingly passive and disengaged.

There were folks here who were once giddy with the thought of dunking on Jrue this season. Hopefully that opportunity still pans out for them.

Bud has to be most attractive coach who is available right now. Some team will pay a lot of money to get that genius.

Jrue violated and tarnished all trust I had in him. Love him for the title, I'm still making the trade for Dame 10/10.

He's in a good spot as a 4th-ish option for Boston, but I think his warts will resurface for them in the playoffs. Probably not against us, though, if we stick with Grief.

The Maxey experience would be pretty similar, IMO.

Grief has to go. No excuses anymore.
Hire Stotts for this year. And search for a specialist for the defense as an assistant.

Griffin is a lame duck since before the 1st game and won’t be fired this season with a 24-10 record at least, I’m not sure I trust the team not to double down and retain him still. The Bucks are finished as real contenders tho, I’d bet everything against this team winning ****. Like others Im coming to realization that the Dame trade is not looking so great, he’s no Steph Curry and I’m not sure such a defensive sieve can actually win in the playoffs. Id think about pulling the plug before his value is gone and he walks after next season. Can’t delude or emotionally invest myself when I already know its not going to work out.

They're even doing it off ball exposing backdoor cuts. They're doing it to freaking YJ McConnell, a horrible 3 point shooter, 5 feet beyond the arc. The Bucks are full of older, unathletic players and going all in on a losing strategy exposing their D.

Effort is going to continue to sink and it will be because they're set up to fail.

This team is almost unwatchable to me at this point because of the defensive approach. Watching them just makes me angry. Griffin is a moron.
