Before the Nova Knicks resurgence there was a ton of articles and talk of Embiid to the Knicks.

You'll get that with every superstar linked to the Knicks. That's mostly fan driven though. Embiid never got the full Giannis effect where every sports television network was talking about him leaving, even some stations *cough* ESPN *cough* actively trying to get him out of the market and into a big city.

Not sure why it's taken until now for it to be "put up or shut up time" for Embiid, particularly considering the prodigious not-shutting-up to date, but whatever. Dame is #2 because he scored less playing with one of the league's leading scorers.

It's the Ringer. You need to be in ideological agreement with your boss, Bill Simmons. Needling the Sixers and Bucks is important.

That said, Embiid and Dame are fair choices to be on that list. Embiid clearly has the best supporting cast he's ever had. And Dame admitted he didn't come to camp in shape, and didn't play well last year.

It's less the ppg from dame and more of the precipitous efficiency drop off

Fair to put Dame on the list. The "reasons" are just lazy copy-and-paste at this point though. I mean, "PPGzz"? Giannis and Dame posted a 121.5 offensive rating while on the court together. The only more potent offensive duos with that amount of sample size were Harden/PG and like, 3-4 different Jokic two-man pairings. It's wild how so many people are trying really hard to paint the Dame/Giannis pairing like it's been this colossal failure so far.

I've wanted him on the Bucks for years....it's too late. We don't need anymore old players and it's time for him to retire.

This is silly. His last year in Portland was the outlier year. His efficiency numbers last year are right in line with his career. Meanwhile Giannis' went way up, probably because he was playing with a guy who has the defense looking 30 feet from the rim.

I will continue saying this as long as people keep implying it's something else: the only thing critically wrong with our best players is that at least one of them has missed too many playoff games in each of the last 3 years. Other than that, I'll take Giannis, Dame, and Khris over any trio in the league. Philly's the only other option I'd entertain but I have absolutely no faith in Embiid's ability to hold up over multiple competitive playoff series, physically or psychologically.

Lowe to the Ringer or Fox Sports. He'll be alright.

Edit to add: Maybe Yahoo will be in the mix, too. They grabbed Kevin O'Connor from The Ringer.

really only get my sports info from this site and twitter, but would check into espn when guys like lowe were on. there is not one single show on espn, fox sports, cbs sports, or whatever they have on tv that i want to tune into. Every single show is the same loud mouth talkin heads just spewing dumb ****.

the NBA is the worst because you can literally tell who watches and doesn't watch any of the games. Lowe watched the games, i don't think anyone else on that network watches NBA games on a regular basis other than the games they are paid to watch and talk about during pregame, halftime, and post game.

I'm not even the biggest Lowe fan anymore but laying him off while Pat McAfee is still employed is just depressing.

There really isn't anybody currently on ESPN that makes sense as a Lowe replacement, right, and the player-to-pundit pipeline hasn't worked for them apart from Redick. I suppose RJeff is okay, but Perk and the rest are dreadful.

I suppose they'll just shovel more face time to Wilbon and Steve A.

I really don’t understand how Pat got to be so close with Bob iger at Disney. That knucklehead has Disney/espn bent over his knee right now and heard Pat was one of the reasons woj left.

The Ringer seems like an easy move for Lowe if Spotify will pay up. Could easily see him taking a deal with one of the new NBA networks though (NBC or Amazon)

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
