There's no reason we have to put him on the trading block and look for a trade, but I sure would consider offers.
If a team wanted to offer a young player who can actually play basketball for Bogut, I'd make the trade in a hurry. Guys from '04 and later that I would trade Bogut for: Howard, Okafor, Deng, Iguodala, Jefferson, Smith, D.Williams, Paul, Bynum, Aldridge, Roy, Gay, Oden, Durant, Horford, Conley. That's 16 players from the last 4 drafts that we could not get for our #1 pick even if we wanted to (and we do want to, trust me).
You don't want to trade Bogut because despite maybe not being an all star caliber player (I disagree,I think Bogut has all star potential but lets all agree Bogut doesnt have that potential for argument) Bogut is still an essential player/player you need on a winning team.
Why? because he wants to win and plays to win and is a team player who is willing to do the little things that are essential to winning.
Obviously you reconsider if a great deal was offered.
But heres the catch, you'd never get value for Bogut and the reason why is because Bogut's true value will never be evident untill Bogut is part of a winning team that plays team basketball.
If Bogut was traded to a winning team that played team style basketball all the people bashing Bogut right now would be crying and consider trading Bogut a major blunder by the Bucks a year or two from now.
Like you said Bogut isnt an impact player and he isnt an impact player on losing team and Bogut will probably never be an impact player on a losing team.
But I guarntee you Bogut would be an impact player on a winning team that plays basketball the right way.
Thats the type of player Bogut it is,I can see it.The guy has talent and is so versatile,he could do so much and play a such a big role and be a big factor in a winning situation.I truly belive that.
With all that said Bogut still has room for improvement of course and more importantly he has to become more agressive on the court and have more an ''alpha'' mentality on & off the court.I think one of Bogut's problems is he deferes too much and is to soft mentally.
Simply put Bogut needs to be less of a wuss,if he wants the ball and is in postition to get the ball and his teammates dont pass it to him he needs to take the initiative and start **** people up.
Bogut has it in him and he also has the talent to be one hell of an NBA center,he just needs to let that attitude out.
