adamcz wrote:Everyone says build around Bogut/Yi, and everyone else is untouchable, but there really is no reason Bogut should be untouchable. He isn't an impact player, just a solid role player. There's no reason we have to put him on the trading block and look for a trade, but I sure would consider offers.

If a team wanted to offer a young player who can actually play basketball for Bogut, I'd make the trade in a hurry. Guys from '04 and later that I would trade Bogut for: Howard, Okafor, Deng, Iguodala, Jefferson, Smith, D.Williams, Paul, Bynum, Aldridge, Roy, Gay, Oden, Durant, Horford, Conley. That's 16 players from the last 4 drafts that we could not get for our #1 pick even if we wanted to (and we do want to, trust me).

You don't want to trade Bogut because despite maybe not being an all star caliber player (I disagree,I think Bogut has all star potential but lets all agree Bogut doesnt have that potential for argument) Bogut is still an essential player/player you need on a winning team.

Why? because he wants to win and plays to win and is a team player who is willing to do the little things that are essential to winning.

Obviously you reconsider if a great deal was offered.

But heres the catch, you'd never get value for Bogut and the reason why is because Bogut's true value will never be evident untill Bogut is part of a winning team that plays team basketball.

If Bogut was traded to a winning team that played team style basketball all the people bashing Bogut right now would be crying and consider trading Bogut a major blunder by the Bucks a year or two from now.

Like you said Bogut isnt an impact player and he isnt an impact player on losing team and Bogut will probably never be an impact player on a losing team.

But I guarntee you Bogut would be an impact player on a winning team that plays basketball the right way.

Thats the type of player Bogut it is,I can see it.The guy has talent and is so versatile,he could do so much and play a such a big role and be a big factor in a winning situation.I truly belive that.

With all that said Bogut still has room for improvement of course and more importantly he has to become more agressive on the court and have more an ''alpha'' mentality on & off the court.I think one of Bogut's problems is he deferes too much and is to soft mentally.

Simply put Bogut needs to be less of a wuss,if he wants the ball and is in postition to get the ball and his teammates dont pass it to him he needs to take the initiative and start **** people up.

Bogut has it in him and he also has the talent to be one hell of an NBA center,he just needs to let that attitude out.

What the hell the shot of the game wasn't the pass to the lady that hit her beer? :nonono:

I don't think I've ever seen a team basically give up before the midpoint of the season, but that is what we are witnessing.

I had to root for THIS f'ing team....

I'm hoping Kohl gets so disgusted with the team he tells Larry H he's washing his hands of them and is giving him free reign to fix the problem without his or his cronies interference.

Simmons is delusional:

"There's been some ups and downs for us," Bucks forward Bobby Simmons said. "But we still played the game. It wasn't like we played our best game but we didn't play our worst, either. Collectively I think we did the best we could tonight."

Wow....

I got it. You pray with Redd, don't have to tell him about what he'll just kneel for a prayer with you. Then while he has his eyes closed and head down you gain control of him and kidnap him. Then call Kohl and tell him you've kidnapped Redd, when he asks for the ransom you say he needs to stop meddling and fire his douche bag trio of lawyers. He agrees and we win. Problem solved. **** I didn't even need weed to brain storm that

Whoever in the Bucks organization gave Boykins the ultimatum to opt out needs to perform a similar function with Simmons. Get the doctor to declare him medically not able to play. Then have him retire....

That kind of comment is what plays into my comments on this roster overall being about as mentally weak as you can get. Instead of getting mad and fired up about Redd being out and wanting to prove you can play, you stick your tail between your legs and act like a little bitch.

That's exactly how this team is and it's embarassing.

You, me and 10 other random posters on here have more balls than the Bucks rosters. I think we could get the same results on the court as well.

If there isn't some major housecleaning here, on January 15th Steger and I are going to put up the official choices and votes for the new team we adopt from that day going forward.....

I'm pretty sure I could abuse Bobby on the court the way he is playing right now. He's an utter POS. Same with Bell. Not only their play either, their body language as well.

"Wow" understates drastically the response to Simmons' statement. I know it is difficult to say anything after such a loss, but maybe it would be better for Simmons to fake laryngitis.

I honestly think Simmons is going to be shipped out in short order. He calls out the coaching staff as being the reason the team sucks and then says the best we can do against the Wizards at home is lose by 24? :nonono:

I actually thought (compared to everyone else) Simmons wasn't that bad tonight, of course i could have been blinded by the blood pouring from my eyes.

Bogut disappointing again.

Just looking at this bucks blog (does someone from here do it?) and it has some interesting stuff on Bogut using a certain statistical measure. I'm not sure how good the stat is though, maybe someone else can shed light on it. The site is this http://bucksdiary.blogspot.com/.

If you look it says that out of the starting centers bogut is one of the worst.

Boykins came to MKE with the contract that allowed him to opt out. Try again.
