The Point goes to Bdub, I definitely view your posts more highly than I did before this previous offseason.

Wow, you are the most easily impressed person I've ever seen. The guy has got a bunch of stuff wrong (JA will average 20ppg) but he bumps the one he got right and that impresses you? Do you really not realize EVERY posters here has got some stuff correct and some stuff wrong but your impressed with the guy that feels the need to bump the one he got right?

I'm more just trying to voice my opinion and give the guy some credit when he was right and we were all wrong. I don't always like bdubs posts and sometimes he gets argumentative and attacks and rubs people the wrong way. I don't think bdub deserves to be attacked for bumping his thread and says "I was right" because this wasn't just one post, he was saying the same thing all summer long and nobody agreed and he took abuse all summer about how he was so wrong. I just wanted to give the guy his props and say "you were right" because he deserves it in this instance.

You're right, every poster on here has gotten stuff right and wrong. But lots of those were guesses and one time posts, this guy was insistent on something, stuck to his guns and didn't let anyone sway him in his opinion. He knew what he believed and and stuck with it even when everyone told him he was wrong/stupid, so yes, I do think he deserves credit here and not attacks.

100% truth, and ty for that.

and im just going to add this as well. Only reason im even braggin is because of how bad i was attacked on this forum for simply having an opionon diffrent from the majority. I was called all kinds of names and trolled. The funny part is the guys who are now playing this morale card about me " chest thumping" werent saying a damn word when everyone was calling me an idiot and a moron for having a diffrent opionon then the majority.

Wise is right ( as usual ) ..Ya throw punches, be prepared to get punched back. WEFFPIM, TWIRLY, and alot of these other guys throw punches at people on here non stop. Then when one comes back to them the whine " ohhh its sooo wrong to throw punches" ..Thats why Rila gave them the sore loser label, and its 100% true. I wouldnt of even bumped this thread, but guys like Luke23 call anyone on here a MORON AND AN IDIOT anytime they have a diffrent opionon. So this is how it goes.

Just wait for what i got in store for some of yall when the bucks make the playoffs.

With that said, I disagree with himon his stance of Hinrich being valuable to the bucks at his current contract.

i dont feel as strongly with that one though my friend. Part of my interest in Hinrich is due to my desire for this team to do something interesting and new. I do think Hinrich is an upgrade but im totally open to the idea that his salary is a serious gamble. I had no doubts about who ramon was and what his leauge wide value would be. Not one.

Yeah, I don't know about that Hinrich business Dub. Too much money there imo. I'd just as soon keep Bell.

....I still laugh at that "I've got the ho's on my side and everything" line of yours Dub. You're definitely ballsy.

I don't believe Bdub even bumped this. I thought it was someone else.
"I just wanted to play because I just love the game," Jennings said. "It doesn't matter to me. I get up to play basketball. It's my job. I have to still be a professional and finish the season."

Yeah im definatly not putting to much on the line for Hinrich. I still maintain hes capable of being one hell of a ball player, he has proven that. The guy has not only had some great seasons, hes had some all star worthy playoff series. I do totally understand that the contract is rough and its a huge gamble. Im not even 100% sure it would be the right thing to do.

( haha i got a good laugh out of that line as well )

and just an FYI. Wise never waivered once in the Ramon off season debates. He was saying the exact same thing as I word for word. I wasnt the only one that was right with Ramon. Their were others as well.

BDUB_30,

I think that most posters on this board did NOT attack you or call you names for your opinions on Sessions. I know I did not, because I thought that the market might not be there for Sessions - though how could anyone in their right mind predict what the Knicks or Celtics or Lakers would spend?

I don't see the point in making "See How Right I Was" posts. It is counter productive and leads to more of the acrimony that is tiresome to many people here. I think that such posts reflect poorly on the poster.

You realize this happens here a dozen times a day? What I find interesting is when the realists and tankers do it they get ridiculed for beating a dead horse. The most hostile and ugly threads here are the "I told you so" ones like that "Optimists Win" one. If you are looking for things to get even uglier than they already are then supporting "I told you so bumps" will make it happen.

I was wrong, dead wrong, and I've already admitted that. I still believe Sessions will be a player in this league, just not with his current team. What I take offense to is that I "personally attack" people frequently. I am very opinionated, that is obvious, but I try never to get personal, and if i have, I apologize.

But this is getting a little out of hand. There are plenty of predictions I've made that I've been correct on, but I'm not going to go and find old threads and bump them to look smart. If we did that, there are way too many B DUB quotes to even list that would be of comical reading today, you could write a novel.

Congrats, you got one right. I'm happy for you. How many pages are you going to post your jubilation in?

I am with you Luke. Hence why I ignore.

I could care less about who's right or wrong to be honest. I just cannot stand the constant attacks, laughing and mocking that some individuals do around here.

We have a very limited amount of information available to us....we are fans none the less. So how "smart" can we really be without most of the information required to make the decisions that we talk about so frequently around here. Its all in fun and we are certainly as whole well educated fans, but we are not as educated as those that are making these decisions for a living.

sometimes in discussions like this we overstate our rhetoric to make a point because we all arent sitting around in person. we cant use gestures or facial expressions to illustrate how strongly we feel.... but just words, in quickly typed posts.

i think we all can learn a lesson here, myself included, that we should take a more respectful approach to discussing things that are of a speculative nature.

now, that said..... whats everybody think about tim tebows personal convictions and sport? that should be an easy one to keep moderated...lol

39 games is about three months worth, not four.

The point still stands. I don't understand why people take such small sample sizes and make a big deal out of it.

Ramon Sessions isn't a 15/8 guy on 45% shooting until he actually... You know... Does that for an entire year, rather than 39 games worth.

No doubt I'm taking Jennings over Sessions, all I'm saying is Sessions isn't bad at all. How someone could take Ridnour over him is beyond me. The argument is always "he isn't a starter on a good team". Oh really? Would Jennings be a starter on a good team if he had to play the whole season without Bogut? Funny thing is, Sessions led us to an even more impressive record then we will likely have this "surprise" season. The Jennings/Sessions duo at point was one that should've been kept together.

I like Sessions too, I wish he was our back-up PG/6th man... Just like I wish we still had Mo Williams as our back-up PG/6th man. Those guys were both very talented players who brought a lot to the table.

I just didn't really get why you were saying if Jennings was doing what Sessions did last year that we would think he was a Hall of Famer. I'm more impressed by Brandon Jennings this year than Sessions last year even with Jennings poor FG%. He's just a far superior talent and I think he has a bigger impact on the game as well as drawing far more attention from defenses.

I see more in Jennings' game but I was just going off pure stats. If Jennings, outside of the first 10, had comparible games to Sessions (most the assist numbers) not one person on this board would say one bad thing about him but everyone is willing to throw Sessions under the bus? It's not like Sessions had a more talented team around him.

this thread was the best read on the board in a while.

as far as sessions goes... i think it shows us something larger. many on this board are so wickedly in love with the idea of "youth", and "core".... that they will dramatically overpay for marginal young guys with upside, instead of proven veterans who have already done something. you win with veterans in this league and you implode franchises with overpaying and gambling on young guys who end up being garbage in the scheme of things.

theres a reason most seasoned coachs make rookies earn their time. and there is even bigger reasons you dont pay marginal players simply because they are young.

Yes this thread was a good read. This way we bump the thread and are all clear on what was said. I brought this thread up to luke a few months ago and he claimed he " never said he wanted to pay Ramon that much money ".... Now, were clear.

The point you make about fans falling in love with youth and overating them is wildly accurate. It happens all the time. Mind you, at one point we were so in love with a young Mike Redd that we were willing to give him a MAX contract, we were so in love with Tim Thomas that we were willing to give him 80 millon dollars. Those deals were all heavily favored on this forum during the time. I was against them all, i wanted Redd to just walk, again , was bombarded with names and thrown tired mindsets like " you cant just let a player like Mike Redd walk and not get componsation"... "Tim Thomas will be better then Glenn Robinson "..

Boy the amount of times our young talent ( and dozens of others around the leauge ) never manifests into quality vets is absurd. Youth and potential leaves teams completly destroyed far more often then it helps them.

Are you comparing the cap killing deals of Max and TT to the $4 million a year Sessions is getting? Just making sure.
