Re: OT: Video Game Computers/Gadgets/Gizmos Thread
Only games I’m definitely getting are FFVII and Phantasy Star Online (Which is free). I’ll probably get WatchDogs depending on early reviews.

Don't know if this belongs in music or gaming but I've been listening to the gorgeous Assassin's Creed Symphony playlist on Spotify since yesterday and it's just jaw-droppingly great.

Unreal. In the early stages of BL2 DLC and it's gotten me to get back to other DLC I didn't really get into. I save, I get a message about a corrupted file, and my level 73 siren is gone.

Watchdogs Legion looks interesting.
Doom Eternal looks insane.

Re: OT: Video Game Computers/Gadgets/Gizmos Thread
The new Watch Dogs does look interesting. I appreciate that they are trying to take each game in wildly different directions. I never played the first one since it looked too grim and self-serious, but the second was one of my sleeper favorites of this console generation. The tone was silly, but I enjoyed it. If you play completely non-lethal (the way it should be played, imo) it feels more like a puzzle game than an action game.

If that is indeed true, I would go for a case that's more optimized for air-cooling. I'd strongly suggest the Fractal Meshify C.
Aside from that, your build looks great.
For some reason installing a cooler always worries me, not sure why. That’s why I was planning on just using the cooler that comes with the CPU but if you think that isn’t sufficient, maybe I do need to grab a different one.

Assuming you don't plan to OC it the stock cooler is fine, but I would recommend spending the $30 on this one. If anything it will protect your investment on an expensive CPU.
I have the same cooler for my PC.You can install a second fan on it if you want. That thing is a beast.I pretty much never had to worry about the CPU temp and i used to run my PC all day with 40+ degrees Celsius.

It's in a really good place right now. There's a ton of stuff to do in PVE, and the PVP is as close to D1 as it has ever been.Matches Malone wrote:I got back into playing Destiny 2 with some friends. Forgot how fun the game can be.

Re: OT: Video Game Computers/Gadgets/Gizmos Thread
I love FF Tactics but I'd never played War of the Lions. So that's been my work-game this week and I'm not sure how much I like the new dialogue. I know it's been the subject of jokes and mockery but I never had a problem with the localization before. Hearing them all talk like old ass British butlers is terrible.
That said I'm looking forward to the new characters, side-quests, and job classes. It's also still the most unbalanced game in history. Hard as hell if you play it straight up, but if you know how and where to grind, it's a complete laugher. I didn't even make it to the second map before I had a team of Dual Wielding Monks, 2+ movement, the "Guts" (or whatever it's called now) maxed out), absolutely ready to lay waste to maps like it's nothing.

The only thing that's off is that it's not for me. Looks awesome. The RAM is the only thing I'd eventually bump up to 32GB.

Yeah I'd invest the last 65 bucks and upgrade to 32gb.

This build looks awesome.
I think upgrading to the 8700k was a good call.
I'll only use AIO's going forward, so I think that was a great decision going with the H100i Pro. The mag-lev fans that come on that cooler are fantastic.

For some reason I’m expecting only a mediocre game. I hope I’m wrong.

Path of Exile people. How's the supposed melee fix I just read about? Supposedly they reworked a bunch of animations to make that a more viable thing? Curious, as I kind of would like to dip my toe back in.
