Miami fans and NBA "cap experts" on Twitter doing all sorts of mental gymnastics to come up with scenarios for Giannis to still get to Miami

Yea I get what you're saying PP, but merging a jersey reveal (when everybody already has an idea of what it looks like) with the biggest contract signing in franchise history seems odd.

Does anything seem normal over there? 8-)

Also, if you're Bam, you're over the moon after signing a huge deal. But then the Miami media is asking you about Giannis? I'd be peeved.

This is such a joke. Lebron, AD, Kawhi all free agents next year. Silence.

Giannis FA next year and teams have been talking since 2018

How did NBA fandom get to the point that it's more fun to thirst over players on other teams than to care more about your own team and players...

LeBron 2010. Pat Riley spent two years scheming to get that max cap room and pulled it off.

Superstars then took over everything via player movement. And unfortunately the media coverage and TV revenues have only grown since. So the bear has been fed.

It kind of makes sense. You know Kawhi, AD, and Lebron are going to want to play in a big glamour city on a team with another superstar. There's no story there anymore. With Giannis, he might actually stay, so there's a lot of suspense. People will be talking about where AD goes next if Lebron gets hurt or unexpectedly retires next year too. People were talking about what Durant would do all year even as GSW was looking like a shoo-in for another title. Remember the Draymond fight with Durant about how much people were talking about Durant possibly leaving when Durant himself hadn't said a thing about it yet?

This click-bait bulls*** journalism is so unbelievably rampant because WE (colloquial WE) eat it up like we've been starving for food for weeks. Same goes for when Woj dropped that tweet about giannis. These people rush to be first without caring about diligence and the truth because that's how they get paid. Show me the incentive and I'll show you the outcome.

"A source who knows Antetokounmpo well said he would be more impressed by the Heat giving Adebayo the extension now than asking Adebayo to wait a year for the purpose of making it easier for the Heat to acquire Antetokounmpo," writes the Miami Herald."

WHO KNOWS HIM WELL

SAID HE WOULD BE

"A Source familiar with the miami heralds thinking told me that they love dipping their toothbrush in the toilet to wet it rather than use the sink water."

Can the news get any more fake than it already is?

I'm hearing from someone who walked past a garbage can that giannis threw a big gulp in that he's likely to bolt for the WNBA come next year.

Lebron and the Heat broke the system.

With so much talk surrounding players legacies being tied completely to winning championships, it's hard to fault guys for leaving situations that they don't believe they can win.

I'll be very upset if he leaves but my anger won't be directed at Giannis.

And that’s why Jordan is the GOAT, brought 6 ships to a dumpster team that drafted him... hear that Lebrun, you tainted anything you accomplish by tampering and playing GM...

Truly inspired by Jordan’s willingness to stay and win with a top 50 player all time and arguably the GOAT coach.

Lol Jordan stayed on the same team and kept trying over and over again even after every playoff failing until he finally won the championship at age 28. Then he won 5 more, a lot of them when he was past his peak, and didn't go running looking for superteams any time the going got tough.

GOAT. Period.

To be fair that 2010 summer was one of the most entertaining months in the sports history
Bucks tricked me into being a diehard in 2001, LeBron is the 2nd best player ever, and pizza is awesome.

He had better teammates than anyone else in the league, where was he going to run to?

Man had the GOAT coach and emerging Pippen by his 6th season and had them for the entirety of his 90s run along with other talented guys like Grant and later Rodman, Kukoc, Harper, etc. They literally won 55 games and were a game away from the conference finals without him lmao.

Spare me this "going got tough" stuff, it's easy to stick around when you have awesome teams around you and don't play for a dumpster fire organization with guys like Mo Will and Delonte as your core teammates and Mike Brown as coach.
