Things to consider if trading Lopez:

1. Will that player be good enough to justify not having Lopez on the team next season.
2. Will trading Lopez effect team chemistry
3. Will trading Lopez make it harder for us to sign him for a much more team friendly deal after his current contract expries.

These are all important imo.

Moose should be able to help on the boards and a few buckets in the paint at least.

He can’t shoot but isn’t as injury prone as Boogie and if lockerroom drama were an issue there’d be less of that.

The merits of the move aside though are far outweighed by how classically Bucks it is to run with a reunion tour.

We already brought back Wes and Hill.

Who’s next? Jennings, Jabari, Delly, Ersan, Delfino?

Insignificant move overall, maybe save a few minutes of beating off Giannis. Might not see the floor like kornet who knows.

I’m excited to see the approach this deadline, wouldn’t be too mad if they stayed put but that would be pretty different than the usual with Horst.

Note enough discussion is going on about how we’re kind of pinning a lot of hope on a 33 year 7’1, 300lb human being coming off back surgery that will have conditioning issues.

My hope is that Bucks aren’t thinking we’re gonna need Brook to play a big role. If they are and are moving forward accordingly then they’re destined to have that blow up in their faces.

The #1 question is will he be the same or even be able to come back from his back injury. If the answer is no or 50/50 then the answer to your first question is yes and makes every other question moot.

I am seeing too many unworkable trade suggestions where the Bucks send out 2 or 3 more players than they take back. Teams don't have enough open roster spots to do that without waiving existing roster players. Those types of trades mainly occur in the off-season when rosters are expanded. To make it work in season, a 3rd team usually needs to be involved.

I have been surprised the Bucks have been getting by with only Antetokounmpo and Portis as bigs. Any injury or extreme foul trouble that forced either player to the bench would almost guarantee a loss. 10 day contract bigs provide important depth while preserving that roster flexibility. Monroe is more short term insurance than asset.

Monroe looked good in his stint with the T-wolves in December. Bucks need another center badly, especially defensively, I think Monroe will be a very good addition for the Bucks.

he looked like a poor man's Jokic in this clip (maybe a homeless man)

Greg Monroe on his best day is like Boogie on his worst day. At least Middleton has someone to go with to the strip clubs. I suppose Monroe is better than nothing.

Seriously?!
Monroe does nothing better than Boogie but having a cheap watch he doesn’t care about.
Outside shooting? Nope. Rim protection? Nope. Athletic enough to defend, cover and/or switch? Nope. He’s a big with a pulse and six fouls, that’s a decent rebounder. “Mine”
Complete failure by Horst since dropping Boogie and this had better not be the only move around the deadline. If this was the type of move to make it should have been done as soon as Boogie was gone. Wasted games and wear and tear on both Giannis and Bobby.

Boogie was not as good here as people seem to think lol

I like the Moose 10 day, let’s just keep bringing guys in. Give him another 10 if he plays well.

Possibly. But Monroe wasn’t that good when he left years ago. Plus much more athletic dinosaur centers like Drummond and Jordan have struggled in recent years with the game changes. That adds up to Monroe being trash.

I'm down with any move that brings in a big at this point. We saw with Boogie what an extra big who can score and pass can do for us offensively. 10 day, fine, let's see what he does with his 50-60 minutes of court time. Lots of guys see the game differently after a couple years overseas, and Moose has been good in his other stops this year.

Feel like Moose is better than Boogie without any potential headaches so I'm okay with this

Monroe has better rebound, assist, and block rates this year. He's like Boogie without the attitude, and with much better conditioning.
