I never engage with any Giannis slander but I do think it's possible that he requests a trade if this continues in the direction it has.

Would Wemby and Giannis work together if you add in some shooting from the guard spot?

You set up the Spurs for a dynasty. That would be heartbreaking. Those four future firsts are going to be picks #29 or 30 at best and you're getting two picks in a weak draft.

Not mad at the idea, I get where you are coming from, but I don't think I can do that. There has to be better deals out there imo.

Yea I wouldn't say this year or anything. But give it a go with the KM/DL core for another year or possibly two and it doesn't work and those two are then clearly done/gone/washed/etc and he's left with nothing around him. That's when I'd see it possible or likely. The transition from two old wingmen in Jrue/KM to a younger batch of supporting characters was always going to be a tough needle to thread and obviously much harder if Khris can't be traded due to sentimental reasons.

But all is not lost, we'll see how this playoffs go and then subsequent offseason. Assume a 2nd round loss or even an uncompetitive 5 game loss to Bos in the ECF this offseason you have to explore all options other than Giannis to get younger more athletic. Also, I think the clearest easiest way to accomplish that is Giannis as the primary 5. No more slow brutes out there.

I think the idea is to get Giannis a couple more rings alongside Wemby :D

Yep, if we ever do trade Giannis I hope it's not mostly for future FRPs, those picks are gonna suck, just like the ones we've been handing out.

And if it's top picks, it needs to be next year's draft (Flagg). A top pick this year is looking like a bad contract more likely than not.

Yeah, I think that is the issue with pretty much any Giannis trade for picks. I would put the most weight on if you think you could get Sarr (#1) and Topic (Hope him or another guard falls to (#7) as 2 guys as your foundation. Hopefully, Brolo with only a few years left, Dame and Midds are at least positive value in that scenario.

Again, not advocating it, but thinking worst case scenario if Giannis says "f-this" this summer and wants to ring hunt.

If Giannis truly demands a trade, hopefully it is private and you trade him, Lopez, Khris, Dame, and Portis for whatever you can. Recoup all of those picks you traded away. I really hate this draft (and not a fan of next year's top pick Flagg) otherwise I get where you are coming from with those top two picks.

I would also need Devin Vassell back so I could trade him to another team for more future picks.

If I was the GM & ownership, I am not trading Giannis because Giannis is a big reason why the Bucks are in this mess.

You're not going to hold personnel moves over our head, then want out because the the moves you held over our head didn't work out.

I don't think Giannis would want out, but if he did, I'd tell him you're not going anywhere.

And if it came down to where I did end up trading him, I would trade him to a team with young assets that would use Giannis' name to sell tickets. I wouldn't trade him to contender.

If Giannis didn't hold any personel moves over the Bucks head and things simply just didn't work out, then it would be different. Then I would probably trade him to a contender if he wanted out.

I dont believe in the slightest that Giannis ever demanded moves from the front office or ownership. IF they asked Giannis for input that is just smart business on their part. Essentially if every single move they make/made didn't have Giannis in mind then they are fools. They will never have a better player and better ambassador for their franchise than they have at the moment.

If all we got out of this run was a stadium, a title and a brand new downtown economy, I'd say building a roster that kept Giannis happy was worth it. I am more than content with how this has all turned out. IF he were to ever ask for a trade, it would be done with class on both sides and nothing like the Lillard fiasco. Saying you wouldn't trade him to a contender comes off as spiteful and I'm detecting some clear vitriol here.

I dont get it. We won the powerball jackpot x10000000 with Giannis. There's not much he could do now or in the future that would ever make me anything but appreciative.

Maybe Giannis didn't demand certain moves be made, but would he have signed the extension if we had kept Bud? Or if we hired Nurse over his guy AG? Or didn't trade for Dame? Or traded Khris?

I think the Bucks are smart to let Giannis have input, I have no problem with it. And sometimes things don't work out, that's life.

I just think if you get to have a lot of input and hold moves over the team's head, you then forfeit the right or the luxury to demand/ask out if those moves don't work out.

I am sure some will disagree, but that's my view on it.

For example if the Bucks told Giannis, screw you, we're keeping Bud and we're not hiring Griffin. And it didn't work out a year or two later with Bud and Giannis wanted out, then I would be 110% ok with it.

I appreciate what Giannis has done for the Bucks and Milwaukee, but I am still gong to call a bitch move, a bitch move. Bolting because the moves you lobbied for didn't work out would be a bitch move.

All that said, this all unlikely to ever happen.

100% agree. There are plenty of reports that give truth to his wants in the coaching decisions. He deserves a bit of blame for that.

If Giannis didn't have a hand in making the Buck's current bed.

I would sign a petition if I had to, to help him get out of Milwaukee if he wanted out.

But if you are part of what caused the problem, you're going to stay put and be part of the solution.

Bud was crucified last season for the Miami series, but he shouldn't have been coaching after his brother died. I will always wonder what would've happened if Bud took the rest of the series off.

I got Giannis willing a Finals berth this year though.

Oh, I’m appreciative. But if he really wanted to top it off, he’d tell Horst (or the new GM) that he’d stick around for a complete re-tool, where Brook, Mids and Dame are dealt in the off-season.
