New Deltarune chapters today for those who abide. It’s been like five years. I’m loving chapter three personally. Another indie RPG from the Undertale guy, iykyk

Been waiting years to finally get a trailer for this. Will be playing it on Day 1 barring something terrible happening.

ATLAS EXPANSION reveal in 7 hours, POE fam. And catching up on news now that I'm back stateside, I see they're - at least saying - they are now moving to 2-month cycles, alternating POE/POE2 releases.

This has to the quietest major console release in the history if this board? I picked up a switch 2 this morning at my local target because I didn’t feel like waiting for the pre order to come in a week.

A friend of mine had preordered from Walmart and it was delivered at 6:00 a.m. this morning (he loves it so far). Walmart used their own delivery service. Nintendo apparently really ramped up production. They had a ton of preorders and there they are in the stores.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I'm sure Switch 2 will be massive, but I will not be getting one. Haven't played my Switch in well over a year (Wonder), and before that it had probably been several.

Hard to be excited about a launch with no exciting games.

I cancelled my preorder eventually. Can't justify picking one up when I don't know when there will be a game on the system I actually care to play. I'm guessing it'll be the next Zelda or Fire Emblem, but who knows, maybe those releases arrive on the Switch 1 as well. I also wasn't into the latest Fire Emblem, so who knows where that series is going.

I’m a big Nintendo nostalgia guy and I’m excited the new one can handle things like madden and cyberpunk. Also have a 4 year old and 1 year old so I figured they will be into this one eventually. I got the Mario kart bundle the open world is pretty cool the few minutes I tried it. I also got the upgrade packs for both Zelda’s. I figured I’m going to replay mario odyssey and both Zelda’s with the kids at some point and I’ve heard great things about the new donkey Kong next month. The screen is so much nicer on the new one for handheld play.

I literally just put my OG Switch on eBay. Haven't touched in a good year. Mainly used it to play some N64 classics. Ended up just getting an N64

Yeah, I can't see the value to upgrading to the Switch 2. Not at that price, and not with those limited upgrades. The only game that caught my eye initially was Mario Kart World, but I'm not spending $500 to play that one game.

They really dropped the ball waiting to launch an updated system 8 years later with Mario kart as the only main launch game. They should’ve saved tears of the kingdom and had donkey Kong done in time and there would be way more buzz.

Like MiG I have barely touched mine in over a year. Playing some Mario Golf this week with a buddy and while fun, I just have no desire to really play it. The Target's near me all had inventory but I'd rather just use that money towards Game Pass and upcoming PC/Xbox releases.

I picked up a Switch 2 last night. If I'm being honest, Mario Kart, Donkey Kong, Prime 4 and FFT alone will probably take me through the year when paired with all the PC gaming I do.

Just let the four year old have a crack at the open world on the new Mario kart and she loves it. Can go do whatever she wants and it doesn’t matter if she’s off the track or going backwards.

I just wish they'd free roam were playable multiplayer. It's a really cool chill mode. On some of the high ground views you can see from one cup to another.

I'll definitely pick it up at some point, but we're barely even going to be home this month so feels like a waste at the moment.

Nightreign has huge potential, but it's amazing how badly FS fumbled the release because of extremely needed features that aren't here.

No voice chat is an absolute killer. In a game that virtually demands good communication, not having the ability to do so ruins everything. I shouldn't have to figure out Discord parties to talk to teammates who opt in to chat.

It's also a huge drag that there isn't some kind of agreed end-run mechanic. I've done maybe 50 runs so far and I know almost immediately whether the run has a chance or if it'll flame out. I know as quick as the character select screen when people choose their roles. But you can't even back out at that stage without incurring a penalty. They need to add the ability to back back on that screen, when someone force quits and you're left with two players, or if the whole team agrees this isn't going well.

Gear acquisition also sucks. They need to make drops specific to characters, at least when you're defeating bosses. It's so annoying to beat an elite boss and get absolutely nothing you can use. I also hate that it becomes a race to pick up items between teammates.

This is like five years running where Summer Game Fest debuts are like half soulsborns. I cannot believe the market is still not saturated.

ETA: I didn't realize IO Interactive were the ones doing the upcoming 007 game. That makes me more hyped for it now.

Has been mostly a snoozer. Pleasantly surprised to see a new Code Vein and I loved the first Scott Pilgrim game.
