No. It's a legit injury that they're obviously gonna milk an extra few weeks to keep him out of the spotlight until they can fully gauge the trade landscape. Like most conspiracies, it completely falls apart once you apply basic logic (why would he rush back from the groin injury and why wouldn't they have just said he re-aggravated it?).

LOL sure.

The state should probably investigate the doctor/MRI techs then because faking an MRI test is medical fraud and sometimes even a felony.

I’m not going to argue that it’s not a real injury, but you’re living under a rock if you don’t think doctors or medical techs do fraudulent or illegal things for celebrities or wealthy individuals. The list of examples is exhaustive.

Rushing him back from a legit injury in order to fake a new injury? Yeah ok.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Atlanta is a major disappointment so far this year. They’re right around us in the standings and the world acts like Giannis is better off there. This Atlanta team that is locked in right now ain’t the contender they were hoping for in the offseason… insert Giannis and you have a fighters chance when you have a Trae Young in house and some decent role pieces like NAW, Okongwu, Porzingas when he’s healthy.

If Atlanta wants to play hard ball then they can just make their Pelicans pick in 2026 and move on with their franchise. I see no reason to act like ATL has even a sliver of leverage even if Giannis says that’s where he wants to go. They can wait 2 years and sign him as a FA or they can cough up the goods. End the story there.

Johnson, Daniels and the pels 1st or have fun fighting for the play-in.

Next.

The NBA obviously turning into the WWF over recent doesn't make this any easier to untangle.

Yeah ok.
Jrue Holiday did exactly that and the next day(yes, the next day!) he got traded to Portland.

Jrue Holiday is not Giannis. Big difference between the two players.

They're currently on pace for 14-15 more wins than us this season. They're only one spot ahead in the standings but it's so early in the season. To already be 4 games up on us is a pretty sizeable gap through 25 games. Agree though that they have not lived up to the preseason hype either.

While MRI is considered the gold standard for soft tissue injuries like a calf strain, a complete muscle strain can occasionally be present even when an MRI is initially reported as negative. Doctor can just say "I don't see it on MRI but the way he describes pain it must be calf strain. "

Their "best" player going into this season also has only played 5 games with the team.

But the Milwaukee Bucks are the Milwaukee Bucks.
No difference with any other franchise when it comes to loyalty.
So why would any player do what you're suggesting?

I don’t know that you get Johnson and Daniels. I feel the Hawks would probably be more likely to give up Risascher but I could be wrong.

Hawks get: Giannis/MPJ/Thanasis/Anthony
Nets get: Trae/Risacher
Bucks get: Johnson/Claxton/Nets 2026 1st / 2026 swap right between Bucks and Pelicans

Giannis going full aging packers QB is certainly a choice.

I could see ATL giving up Daniels, you don't want a bad 3p shooter playing heavy minutes if you are trading for Giannis.

Again, don't think it's a coincidence that Atlanta and San Antonio both conveniently expressed interest in offering Giannis' agent a front office role. That's your tampering back channel and how they know that he's cool signing an extension there. Those are the two front-runners in my book, and you play them off each other for the best offer. Let's just talk bare minimum of what we need to get from both of those teams:

ATL: Trae + Risacher + Asa Newell + 2026 Pelicans 1st + 2028 CLE/ATL/UTA 1st (2nd best of) + 2029 ATL unprotected 1st, 2030 pick swap, 2031 ATL unprotected 1st

SAS: Dylan Harper + Keldon Johnson + Harrison Barnes + 2027 ATL unprotected 1st + 2028 BOS/SAS (best of) 1st + 2029 pick swap (2nd best of MIL/POR/SAS) + 2031 SAC/SAS 1st (best of)

Hell, you can even leverage the fact that San Antonio owns Atlanta's draft capital these next two years in your favor to extract more assets from them. Best offer between those two teams wins, IMO>

What is Risacher’s ceiling? I haven’t watched much of him at all.

I'm a bucks homer, but they are giving up 27-year old 4X all-star, a rising stud who will probably be an all-star this year, a Top 6 pick in a loaded draft, and a young prospect who was good enough to be a #1 pick a year ago (not saying he's great but still more potential than mid-to-late firsts this year).

That seems like a lot and not sure they are even better this year.

Yeah I’m probably hanging up on the Hawks if Trae Young is in any offer.
