Anybody mess around with Unreal Engine 5? I started digging in about a week ago. Extremely accessible for those with video/audio/photo editing software experience in terms of functionality, only ... Better?
It's really fricking well designed. And it's free.

Bought Cyberpunk for the switch 2 today and played for about an hour. I thought it looked pretty good and ran well enough. The only glitch I noticed was a guy walking through a cabinet. I have never played it before so I was looking forward to it. Also bought hogwarts legacy but ended up at the brewers game tonight so I haven’t tried it yet.

This is probably the only reason I'd consider getting a Switch 2. Then I remember I have a Steam Deck I haven't touched in over a year and I decide against it. I'm always home. If I'm on the road for work I watch a movie on the plane and then I go out with coworkers or friends or sit in bed and watch whatever garbage is on the TV in the hotel room enjoying the peace and quiet.

I (mistakenly) picked up the Show. I am begging San Diego Studio to employ literally anyone who knows how the business of MLB works. It's not even that they're missing features. It's that the ones they do have don't exist in MLB at all. Why can I only scout about 15 players in preparation for the draft? Why do I only have about five days to sign them and can only attempt to after some arbitrary time limit that really only leaves me about three days to sign them? Why, when free agency opens, can I only sign players roughly once a week? Why can I only offer extensions to certain players? Why can't I hire and fire staff mid-season? Why isn't the player grading scale 20-80? When setting attributes to players, why can't you set present and future value? Why are there only two playable minor league levels and three overall? How's there no international signing period? Why is the draft only six rounds?

Re: OT: Video Games/Computers/Gadgets/Gizmos
I started watching a long play of the Nioh 3 demo and I lasted about five minutes before I drove to the storage unit and unboxed my PS5.
30ish minutes in and there's definitely some interesting changes. I like being able to switch between a tanky samurai and a quick and fast ninja with the press of a button. It actually seems too powerful at the moment. From what I understand they still have stances, but I haven't unlocked that yet (if they're in the demo at all). An open world is pretty wild for a Nioh game and I'm very much looking to explore every possible inch.
In the end it's more Nioh, which makes me incredibly happy.

Ah, I see your problem and it's that you bought Show while thinking anything outside of RTTS was worth playing lol. Diamond Dynasty has absolutely ruined their other modes. Sad to see because it felt like Show was the last real innovative franchise until they went full micro-transaction/built their entire business model around Twitch streamers/competitive online.

Make sure you get 4, to be clear. It's by far the best.

Yup, that's the one.
Is it just an arcade baseball game? Any interesting franchise type modes?

It looks and plays arcade-y, but it's actually relatively good baseball gameplay. There is a pretty deep franchise mode with incredible player and team editors. Edit colors, unis, logo, all of the players. It's good stuff.

Not thrilled at all with Ninja Gaiden 4 being a PlatinumGames production, but at least this looks cool.

I see Apple is taking the 'just don't talk about it' approach to how AI has been going for them.

Franchise mode doesn't have a draft or anything so if you're looking for it to mirror MLB, you'll be disappointed. But it's very fun in its own right. Basically you have a salary cap and the less you spend, the quicker you'll raise money to spend on player development. You'll see that there are like 6 or so player development opportunities at a time; seemingly randomized but I think it's based in some part on player age so that younger players will have more opportunities to develop than older players.
All players are on 1 year contracts and at the end of each season, you'll have the chance to re-sign everyone. Based on the player's morale (or whatever it's called in the game), you'll have a higher likelihood of being able to sign them at the same salary, re-sign them at a slight raise, or not be able to re-sign them at all if they don't like you. Then free agency will begin and everyone's asking price will be insanely high, but as you advance further into the offseason, their asking price will continue to come down lower and lower, so it's basically a game of "Do I want to keep waiting and try to sign this guy at a cheaper cost or do I think if I pass on signing them this week, some other team will sign them and I'll be **** out of luck?"
You'll also notice that the player base is a mix of "legends" (some actual MLB legends and some that are merely retired players that were pretty good back in their day) and a lot of fictional players with fun names (Hammer Longballo for example). It's just a great time.
I created a fictional league of 30 teams; half from the western hemisphere and half from the east and then did a fantasy draft where I used a random number generator to make half of my picks so that I wouldn't just draft all the best/young players with all the best traits (you'll see that some traits are huge difference makers both good and bad).
But yeah, like MiG said, it visually looks kinda like a Backyard Baseball game and it definitely plays more arcade-y than the Show, but it's legitimately good gameplay and the fun factor is incredibly high IMO. It's my personal favorite sports game out there right now (maybe that Rematch game will replace it when it comes out later this month).
The only bummer to the game is that EA purchased the developer like two years ago and nobody knows what they're working on anymore (assuming they weren't just dissolved). Some speculation they're working on a Super Mega Football game but we haven't received an update from the developers in a long time.

To be fair, they asked Siri "how is Apple Intelligence working out?" and are still waiting for the response.

With the Switch 2 out I figured I'd see what the state of Switch emulation was. Gotta say, enjoying playing TotK without stupid durability, stamina, or battery life.
