Same. I can’t believe people ignore that Butler always becomes a problem for every team he plays on.

If Miami wants to send us extra good assets along with Butler, I could be convinced. But in reality he's a rich man's Stephen Jackson. He'll get here and whine for a mega extension like Capt. Jack did.

Pat says the best is yet to come in his career.

108.6 d-rating, o-rating's a little worse but he's shooting worst from 3 since rookie yr, helping w/ ball-handling, & on boards.

I dont think I would actually do it. But I have to assume you do this as a 1-2 year rental with the understanding we aren't giving him an extension either. I wouldn't want him here any longer than that. A motivated Jimmy with all his hatred towards the Heat might be manageable.

Kind of the Marquette special, pout about not getting an extension, get traded to the Bucks without an extension opportunity.

I wasn't around for last regular season, but I was more livid at Dame than just about any player ever cuz of his lack of effort when he could finally contend. That was allayed by him bringing it in the playoffs, but I'm getting back to where I was before.

One would have thought the Cup win had been re-invigorating. Guess it was just another excuse to think he could just turn it on when it was absolutely needed. You could end up loving that player in the end, but the process is maddening. He's reverse Jrue.

I am fine with all the Jimmy trade ideas ...
There is a huge problem though nobody mentions...
Jimmy and Doc have the worst relationship since Doc insisted Ben Simmons to lead the Sixers for a whole year while Jimmy was hooping like MJ. Doc is the reason Jimmy left from the Sixers. I am almost certain nobody wants to work together ever again

There is, but it's two fold with Horst having neither the power (firing Doc) nor the balls (completely revamp the frontcourt by trading Brook/Bobby) to execute either part.

I am all for firing Doc but I have very faith in the organization,

If you have to make a significant trade, how do we trust Horst when he doesn't have picks? That's pretty much how every one of his trades go - I want this proven guy, now here's all my draft capital. What do you say?

Conceding too much shows he can't gauge value. & he can't do straight player(s) for player(s), like the situation requires. Doesn't play the stock market. Gets players as they're falling not rising. He needs a trade aide, like his mentor Hammond had Morway.

That's a really interesting story you completely made up, but Butler's only season in Philly was 2 years before Doc coached there.

I love Dame and I think he's a great player but the fit with Butler is just so much better. Dame is a rhythm player, needs the ball and his best shots are off the dribble.

Butler can come in and play off Giannis easily and take over late like he's used to. All we'd need is a serviceable pg that can play a little defense. I think the fit with Butler is worth it. Unfortunately the contracts are off by 11k so need a 3rd team.

No problem. The guy who messed that up in Philly never sniffed the NBA again.

The demise of Pat C. has been overstated.

Doc, as he should be, is using the regular season to see if any of the three young guys, can be used in a playoff rotation.

The returns so far are not great. Green has the most translatable skillset. But every team now has a book on AJJ, Green and to a lesser extent Rollins.

The odds that two of the three see playoff minutes is not great right now.

That means PC will be in the rotation, absent a trade for a playoff ready piece. The Bucks already know what PC brings to the table. Now is the time to see what the others have.

Imagine if the most recent ASG format with captains was still in place and TNT had Freak and Joker as captains. Much of their humor would go over people's heads, especially with their accents

Brook should've been traded in the 2022 off season. When he had his maximum value. Needed to get more athletic and rangy in the frontcourt. No way Horst would deal Brook and possibly Bobby now. This may be the last hurrah with this core group.
