I already sold myself on that we may be better off with the MLE plus Donte and I'm going to be the last man standing on DJ Wilson island.

Elfrid Payton would be a nice backup PG.

Ky Bowman got waived. He's a pretty interesting player.

I wonder if POR would entertain a Midds/CJ swap. I would then try to pry Ariza from DET.

the problem with DJ is it looks like he doesn't give a damn about basketball. He needs some Giannis to rub off on him or he's toast

Any chance in Malik Beasley? I guess his stock is low. Wilson alone works for a 4/34 sign and trade. Send a future second and get it done Horst. Get Ibaka with the full MLE, keep Donte, will be fine.

Hate to break it you guys but no one is gonna want to sign DJ or Sterling to 3-year deals just to facilitate a sign & trade. Maybe Pat on some 3-yr $18 million type if the market dries up, but I doubt it.

The only way I feel good about this off season is if somehow Gallo took the full MLE and we sign Teague to a mini

They can be partially guaranteed so they are basically one year deals.

Still think gambling on Wall is the best move we can make... Midds and Brook for Wall, Rui and Pasceniks

Another option for backup PG became available as NY cut Elfrid Payton - a poor jump shooter and very injury prone - but an excellent defender and penetrator. He can create. He might be willing to chase a ring for the veteran minimum - or to improve his value to chase a better contract next year. And he's long enough to defend 2's with his 6'8 wingspan. If he could hit 3's at an average rate and stay healthy, he'd be worth a lot. Still just 26.

Pat isn’t good, anyone who’d give him $18mm should be fired

Yeah I agree with you but think only the first year has to be guaranteed.

You are missing the point. Its not about dogging ddv he is fine for where he was drafted. Its about what we lose in him vs Bogdan.

Why would we do this? We trade the better player and completely destroy what wing depth we have left.

Portland would do this in a heartbeat.
