I hope LuessiT will be ok.

Former 8th pick and the New York Knicks guard Frank Ntilikina could be back playing in Europe. On Saturday, the head coach of Virtus Bologna, Sergio Scariolo, revealed that Nico Mannion will miss the beginning of the season and that the club is looking for a replacement. According to the Gazzetta dello Sport and La Repubblica, Ntilikina is one of the Virtus’ targets. However, reports say that the French point guard is not the first name on the Italian club list.

As a fan of some not so successful players, he'll be ok. If you're a fan of Frank Ntilikina you've already prepared yourself for the day he's backing up Nico Mannion.

Well put! Have been there too.

And as a longtime Bucks fan, I’m also prepared for us to pick up a guy who couldn’t beat out Nico Mannion and expect him to play an important role, however in this new championship era where we have reason for optimism maybe it’d work out.

As a former cheerleader for Miles Plumlee, I endorse this post.

Regardless of what happens with Ntilikina, I’m always in favor of young guys like him filling out the roster vs the washups of years past like Chris Copeland, Marquis Daniels etc.

The dream is that you uncover a late bloomer like Gerald Wallace but in reality these positions don't matter whether young or vet as they're end of the bench guys who suck. This is particularly relevant with where our team is at in its life cycle.

I'm no fan of Frankie Smokes, but wouldn't throw my toys out the cot if he was the 14/15th player on the roster. They're guys who help you win a game or two in the regular season and contribute to overall good team chemistry off the court. That can be Frankie or Udonis Haslem.

Totally agree with this. All you really need from your end of the bench guy in the league is good team chemistry. Look at Christian Wood, he was a reclamation project that worked right up until he was complaining about playing time. The reclamation projects and young guys are generally going to be more concerned with personal success and getting that next contract over team success.

Yup, let's find the next Cam Payne. He was huge for the Suns.

Horst if you can somehow get Dragic here .... we repeat , that's a "Charles Barkley Guaranteed"
I think Dragic can be our Ginobili. If he is healty in the post season he is a force and he stretches the floor just by being on court.

Two thumbs up on this one from me. Waters is going to stick sooner or later.

So Giannis brother Alex is out? Or a trade brewing of DDV and another player on the outs?

How do we compare Waters to Elijah Bryant?

Possible we'd keep both, or nah?

Wow, he was one of my favorite G League targets. Hope he sticks. Legitimately talented PG but he’s so small.

I think Alex can be signed directly to the Herd through the Local Player Tryout provision.

Waters is Frank Mason with a more jumping explosion.

Weird that we spend the offseason avoiding small players but then bring in Waters, who is tiny. He'll help the Herd a ton though, another G League MVP candidate. He's good, but just too small defensively.

He's tiny but he's got such great balance and body control, and extremely quick hands. He's a pest. Offensively he's a really good ball handler, creates space for his shot easily, not as great a shooter as you'd hope yet, but takes a lot of high difficulty shots. Offensively, he's stylistically a lot like Kyrie but obviously not nearly as good. A great get for the Herd, and a roster spot's not out of the question if he progresses.

Didn't realize he started some games for the C's last season. Pretty solid get for the Herd.

Yeah, he's good, but he's not switchable defensively, which makes his fit tough in today's NBA. I like that he's feisty defensively, but it's tough to picture him in a playoff defense.
