Didn't Nintendo update their ToS to say they can remotely, permanently brick your device if you're found out? Best of luck :D

Oh I'm just using an emulator on my Mac. Played the default version and it ran great. Applied the cheats and they worked perfectly. Just installed a mod that runs on it 1440p (might try the 4K version for SaG) and 60 FPS and now that's performing perfectly. Who needs a Switch 2? 8-)

Been getting a ton of Mindseye content on social media lately and I have no idea why. It looks atrocious. I've never even heard of it. None of the major review sites have it, then I see the devs are asking for reviews not to be posted until the UK release? Either way, not spending time on that one.

Managed to snag a Switch 2 via Best Buy, hoping to pick it up next week.

I really didn’t follow the release at all and have been in the dark but the larger screen and revised joy cons look nice.

Looking forward to simple childhood Nintendo fun.

Apparently Final Fantasy: Stranger of Paradise is awesome?? I was on a Nioh Reddit today and there was a passing mention of it being someone's favorite Team Ninja game, with a lot of people saying how much they liked it. I had absolutely no idea. I think when it came out I didn't even bother to check out a review. I remember no buzz about it at all.

It feels weird anticipating a new PoE league after so long.

It’s a bit divisive but I really enjoyed it

The most important part of this interaction is you’ve both provided content for me to discuss with my massive FF fan kid.

I’m currently playing FF10 with them coaching me through/explaining the lore as we go.

Are you playing the remaster? 10 is one of my favorites and arguably the best entry in the series(I prefer 9,6, and 7 to a lesser extent) even 10-2 aged better than I remember. 10 is one of the most emotional stories finally fantasy has ever put out and there’s so much to do if you want to grind for weapons, blitzball, etc

One of these years I’m gonna give more FFs a shot. I’ve only finished 15 and 16 and didn’t really care much about either.

Now that I have more time on my hands, I've been thinking about picking up a console. I sold my PS4 Pro 5 years ago, assuming I'd be picking up a PS5, which I never got around to.

So I'm kind of out of the loop on what's the best option. I know there's the PS5, PS5 Slim and PS5 Pro. Is the Pro worth the extra $200? I am a graphics whore, so...but I also want disc version, so I'd have to pay another $80 to get the disc drive. I really don't wanna drop that much change.

Just curious what your guys' opinions are on it. Or do I go the XBOX route?

I think unless there are some PS/Sony exclusive games you need to play, I always recommend an Xbox series X. Game Pass remains the best deal in gaming, with regular releases and a huge backlog included in the monthly price.

I have to echo this. I game mostly on my PC, but wanted a console for NCAAF 25. Had owned PlayStations for the last decade (was an Xbox kid tho), but decided on the Series X and IMO it’s just better. The controller, Gamepass, even the looks.

Yep! Remaster on PS5, we’ve just reached the point where we could go back and get Jecht’s spheres/recordings which was a nice bit of character development.

6, aka 3 on the SNES is a masterpiece

I’m about 8-10 hours in now on Hogwarts Legacy and I’m impressed with how intricate the combat is.
