I’d like either WCJ or Beef Stew. I think WCJ is a more polished player, has a bit more to him in between 3pt and rim, is a little better passer, and better finisher at the rim.

Stewart is more durable, stronger, better defensive motor, maybe tougher, and a couple years younger with still a little upside.

They both are good defensive players who move their feet well. They aren’t traditional rim protectors, but don’t shy away from challenging shots. They both are developing shooters, but have nice touch out to 3, and shot well this past season.

Ultimately, they are role player 4/5’s who would be situational starters for us, but Brook and Bobby likely should be viewed as situational starters for us moving forward, too. I think the idea has to be creating a more versatile roster where we feel good about going both small and big, particularly defensively, around Giannis depending on matchups. Having both Brook and Bobby largely prevents us from allocating necessary resources to find that smaller unit, then factor in that we also need to improve on the perimeter defensively, and I think both likely need to be traded.

I love them both, particularly Brook, and it would be hard to see them move on, but I think it’s time.

With the Kings re-signing Monk, Bobby is the guy they'd be more interested in.

Still really like the idea of Bobby and #33 for Davian Mitchell, Chris Duarte, and #13, whether you're keeping the pick or re-routing it to a 3rd team for a quality starter.

This seems like a slam dunk to me from our perspective. For the Kings, it feels like there's too much overlap with Bobby's and Domas' weaknesses.

Wouldn’t we be able to deal MarJon into some team with cap space for a top 55 protected pick? Have to think someone under the cap would take the flyer. That solves all of this.

Solves nothing. It only saves $700k, as his slot has to be replaced with a minimum contract.

Midds/Pat for Murray, Huerter, Barnes and #13.

Trade Midds for a couple of the leagues worst contracts, and a young guy who can't get his own shot? Hell no. Also, Midds is the ultimate playoff riser, while Red Velvet is a massive playoff choker.

Luckily this can't happen, as it's not a legal trade.

Davion Mitchell is well below replacement level with $6.4 million dollar salary. Don't trade for him, just sign one of the many G League players that are better than him

If Brook is dealt, the center I'd like to replace him with is Oneyka Okongwu.

People seem to believe what they want regarding Middleton on either side of thongs. Windhorst clearly indicated that trading Middleton was a possibility. He knows who he is. He did not forget that he plays for us. It was as clear as day. If Middleton were a lock to stay, he would have included him with Giannis and Dame.

The logic on trading Khris is sound. Im not saying its the only way, but its one path that could give us a very strong defensive identity. We could also keep him and just try to outgun everyone.

Glad its not my call, but stop kidding yourselves. Khris is not untouchable if the right circumstance presents itself.

I'm not really a fan of Carter, but if he were essentially the salary part of the deal where we get someone I think is more valuable, I'd be down with something like that.

I saw the @BucksFilmRoom guy floated a straight up Brook for Carter swap and that is a non-starter to me.

That's an easy yes for me. No idea why Orlando would do it though.

If the idiot Hammond was still in charge it might happen because it makes no sense.

Wendell Carter Jr is really good, with a chance to get better, and is a perfect fit for a high hedging or switch defense. However, he's completely made of glass. He's presently unable to work out because of hand surgery. He makes Khris Middleton look like AC Green.

Thinking about it more, I’m getting the feeling that Windy heard that we are looking at Paul George scenarios if we end up ducking under the second apron with a Connaughton salary dump or other cap shenanigans.

We can aggregate salaries after we’re below and I’m sure it would be something like Khris/Brook or Khris/Bobby/? for Paul George.

Doc’s coached him before and with Giannis/Dame, we have the most attractive pair for him to join. If you look at what Windy said, he mentions how, “I think it’s less likely than Philly or New York that they could make this big move, but don't forget about Milwaukee”. Philly and New York and consistently mentioned as potential destinations for George via free agency or opt in and trade.

Similar things were said about our interest in Beal last summer. It didn’t happen but we obviously were in the hunt for another star and got Dame. Should be an interesting week or two.

That’s my theory, I don’t think it’s happening though. The talk about Milwaukee just tells me we aren’t satisfied, but more importantly that Doc doesn’t think the team has it yet. Which gives me hope that we make a quality move this off-season to improve our chances for next season.

Does this sound different in context or did Windy directly link us to Paul George?

My number one goal is to move Lopez for a wing such as Wiggins, Jeremi Grant or something similar. Purpose is to move Middleton to the 6th man role

Find a high energy center in the mold of Claxton

Draft 2 of Dunn, George, Dadiet or similar type that can ideally be used to match up on bigger wings like Tatum, Brown types.
Buy a 2nd draft Beekman to develop as Pat Bev 2.0

PG Dame, Bev, Beekman
SG Beasley (or AJG if Beas walks), AJJ
SF Grant/Wiggins, George/Dadiet
PF Giannis, Dunn, Livingston
C Energy Big, Portis
6th man Middleton
Gives you Pat C, Marjon 12M in salary to use in trades ideally to acquire that big. Roster would need some cleaning up, but this is way more athletic, way more defensively versatility, stronger bench and would probably force Giannis in to more minutes at the 5 which could create some really nice small ball line ups.

Not sure what pieces need to be included to work out these deals but I think they are in the ballpark of reasonable

He didn’t directly link us. My theory is that the statement lumping us in with Philly and New York means that we’ve had discussions.

I agree; I think he was implying we’re in the PG sweepstakes/trying to be.

Pass on PG. It’s 2024 not 2019 and Middleton just proved that when he’s healthy he’s a better postseason performer.

No doubt we're kicking the tires on MANY possible trades. There will be lots of click bait "linking" us to a lot of various players.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I thought that we can’t aggregate players as a second apron team? So whoever we trade Brook for can’t make more than 110% of what he makes
