What?

Jabari has shown before the second ACL tear that he has the footspeed to defend smaller guards. Actually his best defensive glimpses have been when defending smaller players on ball. Middleton just doesn't have that ability anymore (or he just doesn't care) and can't stop any penetration. So yeah, if somebody of those two would have to be playing the 2, I'd rather have it be Jabari.

He struggled to guard 3’s, let alone 2’s. He’s a decent one on one defender, but he is terrible at tracking his guy on the floor. He gets drawn into watching the ball rather than his guy way too much. Better off keeping him on a player with less range/movement to his position.

If we really want Gasol would we put Middleton on the table?

Not sure if the Grizzlies would insist on him (especially if rebuilding) but there is a big separation between Middleton’s value and Jabari or Brogdon.

Honestly there isn't a better big man in the league for this roster. Marco does everything, protects the rim, rebounds, spreads the floor and has awareness off the charts on both ends. If we landed Marc, I'd immediately put us as legit East contenders from the moment he landed in Milwaukee. Wow, that's a wet dream how perfect that would really be.

Thon Henson Vaughn Delly DJ Mirza(insurance $), TPE, 2 future 1sts, take on any Grizz bad contracts they want us too, pay well into the luxury tax... literately whatever we'd have to do to make it work outside of Giannis and try to retain as many of Middleton, Bledsoe, Brogdon, Sterling, Jabari as possible if not all of them...

Very difficult to trade future firsts given the Phoenix deal, and there's really no assets there for Memphis to even consider this. You'd have to send out Jabari or Brogdon I'd think. I'd consider it for Jabari but no go on Malcolm.

Memphis gave up Pau to LAL for a similar package to "rebuild" with. Memphis could see Thon as a tantalizing prospect big, I know we as Bucks fans find that far fetched but you never know. I wouldn't throw in Brogdon either, really wouldn't want to thrown in Jabari but with Jabari's contract situation, he's easily the odd man out. I'm paying Marc Gasol big money to play with this roster before I'm even considering Jabari...

Gasol/Henson

Pickup the best veteran buyout candidate who can give us some minutes at the four. Joe Johnson perhaps? Let's go.

I don't think we need to add DJ nor the future first. I think they'd make that deal for Jabari, Thon and Telly unless Boston offers the Lakers/Kings pick.

Not giving up Parker for an old center, thats ridiculous.....they will just end up getting Bogut for nothing, that's fine for this year.

Yeah, because Marc Gasol and Andrew Bogut are remotely comparable...

Yea, Bogut is pretty honest in the media.

I wouldn’t mind trading for Bradley, especially if it means moving snell and maker

Favors, Hood and Dedmon is all we need. Ship out Wilson, Maker, Delly, Telly and Henson

Hood is not a player we need - at all. Also we don't need Favors and Dedmond.

I find it odd that Dewayne Dedmon all of a sudden has become this great NBA player in his late-20s the last 2 years that just so happens to coincide with him playing for the two best coaches in the league (Pop, Budenholzer). Did I say odd? I meant entirely predictable, and we shouldn't chase average rotation bigs when they're playing in a contract year and their price is higher than its ever been....

Nice contribution.

We would instantly be better with any real big man, yes, including Dedmon or Favors. Dedmon especially could help take our defense to the next level.

I'm in favor of Dedmon for cheap. Not sure what it takes to get him, but I'd explore the options.

I'd also probably be in favor of something like Snell, Maker and a 2nd for Bradley.

This team has gotten destroyed when Thon is on court all season. If we want to be a better team, yes, we absolutely do need to trade for a competent backup C.

I've been on board with trying to land Dedmon the last couple of off seasons and at least with the Spurs, you knew he was going to be used pretty much flawlessly with Pops. What I will say, is that he had a pretty rough go of it with Orlando and that staff, so I don't think they did any favors for a guy that was late to the game (as I recall he didn't play in HS because his mom wouldn't let him or something).

So possible that between more time playing and excellent coaching he actually elevated his game. Also possible that he was simply a by product of great coaching, but most likely somewhere in between. I have no interest in giving up much to get him but I would like him on this roster and maybe a MLE next season is the most sensible deal.

I don't think you need a trade, but I'd agree a better back up would be nice. I am also not dismissing that John Brockman/Aaron Baynes hybrid that is Marshall Plumlee isn't enough to get the job that we need done for next to nothing.

There is no reason why Thon should be getting minutes over Plumlord at this point.

This. And that’s a serious indictment of Thon.
