They (Doc I think) really wanted out of the Khris situation too. Thinking they could fix Kuzma should get them fired.

People are going to believe whatever they want, but also.....

Giannis Antetokounmpo loves Khris Middleton. Middleton was one of Antetokounmpo’s co-stars on Milwaukee’s title team in 2021 and Giannis has often spoken of his affection for the three-team NBA All-Star. Yet league sources say that Antetokounmpo offered the needed support internally before the Bucks’ agreed to a Wednesday morning trade for Washington’s Kyle Kuzma that required them to surrender Middleton.

Not just a bad fit with your franchise star but also a bad player. I still cannot understand why they targeted him.

It'll always come down to the simple fact that the Bucks wanted to get under the apron, and Washington was able to take in more salary than they sent out.

It was a combo of the player and the contract. It was a really nice fit for us. I can’t imagine there were any decent offers for Middleton and it was imperative to get off that contract.

I still think Kuz can help us but it doesn’t work at all in these jumbo lineups. I still wish we would have seen a Giannis, Kuz, Green, Trent, Dame or KPJ lineup just once but Doc gonna Doc.

Yup, they wanted Kuzma. If it was about salary, they'd have just moved Pat. Yes, it should get someone fired. Considering Doc keeps reducing Kuzma's minutes, I'm guessing this is Horst's guy.

Some of you are much more optimistic than me about beating Indy.

I just want to see a healthy Giannis unleashed in the Playoffs again.

Enough reports are showing it is Giannis. Have to be honest that as good as his play is on the court, he’s not a great evaluator of players for his team.

I also thought that they could have got under the apron by moving Pat. But some one I know said that perhaps no team was willing to take Pat.

I would have preferred moving Pat to moving Khris for Kuzma.

Maybe they liked Kuzma and Giannis signed off. I have to think getting out from underneath the Middleton contract was priority number one.

That doesn't indicate Giannis pushed for it, rather gave him their blessing. He was criticized for influencing moves & can't also for not doing so.

How does Kuz continuing to start against all data indicate he's Horst's guy? Kuz is getting a slap on the wrist from Doc.

It was a terrible move, but also the book is hardly written on Kuz in Milwaukee long-term when he's way below career lows practically across the board. KPJ was also a buy low from a performance standpoint. So far 1 for 2 on turning it around this season. Hardly fireable. The value is.

That's interesting because Horst said Giannis knew nothing about the trade ahead of time. Because Giannis was so close to Khris he didn't want to put him in an awkward position
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

But Horst insists that he did not ask Antetokounmpo about trading Middleton before making the deal.

“It didn’t happen,” Horst said.

From Horst’s perspective, Antetokounmpo trusts him to run the franchise and make the moves that will make the team better. And being asked about moves could only put his star player in an awkward position.

“I didn’t talk to him about this,” Horst said. “And that comes out of a career together, of going through transactions, understanding what he expects of us to run a franchise and do our jobs, what we expect of him to do his job. And he trusts. And it doesn’t mean he agrees with it. He would or would not have stamped it, I don’t know. And I decided not to put him in that position.”

He didn't talk to Horst about it because he talked to Doc about it ;).

Jake Fischer has been on a pretty massive cold streak for about a year now. Tough to put any credibility in to anything he offers right now. It's too bad, he works hard, but just doesn't have the sources.

IQ is 6.7 VORP for his career at age 25. KPJ is just 1 VORP for his career, and has earned half of that as a Buck.

KPJ has the talent to dominate, but he needs to do it, and then do it consistently. I hope he does.

I dunno man Dallas would probably do Klay Thompson. But somehow Klay is even worse.
