Making my way through Wire: Season 2 at the moment. Probably 4th in my season rankings but may have my two favorite moments: 1) Omar's appearance at Bird's trial and 2) Landsman referring wardrobe-wise to "the pinstripe lawyerly affectations of Detective Moreland and the tweedy impertinence of Detective Freamon."

Spoiler:
Either they are finally merging the Fox/Marvel cinematic universes, or they are using it as red herring and he's playing Mephisto. Either way if the next episode isn't named Crossover Episode I'll be very disappointed.

Omar at Bird's trial is some of the best television ever.

"I got the shotgun, you got the briefcase............all in the game tho" was my sig for years.

Just blew through Sweet Home with my wife, and it was pretty good. Lots of fun, good world-building, great characters and performances, uneven (but largely solid) CGI, and a bizarrely bad soundtrack. Well okay, the soundtrack is fine 90% of the time, and the other 10% is getting bludgeoned upside the head with an Imagine Dragons song.

Spoiler:
I am still very salty about how much it undermined the best scene of the show - the beautifully shot and edited fight in the elevator.

Spoiler:
It means that fanboys and girls liked Evan Peters more than Aaron Taylor Johnson

Since The Expanse is ending, can we just shift Frankie Adams to the Cara Dune role in The Mandalorian?

Cara Dune has died of a stroke, she knew the risks

Lol That was such an abrupt 'you gone' move. I was wondering if they actually had him shoot that scene or just CGI'd it in.

I think you could tell in that moment it was a CGI/still frame captured earlier and repurposed for his death.

BTW, on The Mandalorian, how come nobody told me how good Bill Burr was in this?

I thought the second season was a drag for the most part, but his episode was great.

Space Raylan and Burr were the definite highlights of the season.

Bill Burr is a pretty damn good actor, though he was excellent in the King of Staten Island.

The season 2 episode with Bill Burr was a beautiful homage to the Star Wars monologue/discussion in "Clerks"

I watch very little regular work network TV but I've been enjoying Big Sky on ABC. David Kelley has done some good stuff and I've always liked John Carroll Lynch and Katheryn Winnick. Brian Geraghty is good too. Plot holes of course but what show doesn't have them.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Brooklyn 99 is ending after season eight (the one yet to air). It's only 10 episodes. Kind of a bummer.

Speaking of network TV has anyone watched The Stand on CBS? If done right that could be good but I don't trust CBS to do it right.
