Let the lotto happen. See where the chips fall tonight.

We're going to get a lot more back for him than the media thinks. This will be a bigger haul than the Lakers paid the Pelicans for AD.

I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

We can’t trade Giannis for the simple fact that Horst is our GM, recipe for getting Nico’d. It would be called getting Horst after.

Houston has stuff but it doesn’t start until Amen is involved.

San Antonio needs to win the lottery. I don’t really like anything else that much. I’m not that intrigued by Castle anyways.

It took me a minute to realize you mean Jalen Williams (the good wing) rather than Jaylin Williams (the decent bench player) and I nearly lost it lol.

My bad I spelled it wrong. Jaylen Williams would be my number 1 get for Giannis. I would put him ahead of Flagg or Amen.

Even outside of the potential Giannis implications, I'm highly intrigued because:

1. Flagg is just a stud.
2. My local Wizards have a chance at Flagg/Harper and they so desperately need a jolt of life in the franchise.
3. Just kind of a fun lottery with a handful of teams that could easily make a leap into being a strong playoff team also having a chance at the #1 pick.

We've always been buyers, & never sellers, so who knows what type of return Horst can get in that scenario. Maybe he holds firm because if his idea for a Jrue Holiday return is 4 1sts, Hill, & Bled; what should it be for Giannis?

No, I just avoid making statements about it at all. I'm comfortable in "who knows?" territory.

Does it do something for you to dismiss this info as absolutely nothing?

You still spelled it wrong. There's no Y: J-A-L-E-N. The other guy should change his name to Jay to avoid confusion like Duke Jason Williams.

As a seller, he will ask for the same package in return, have it somehow return Jrue and our picks back, and call it a win. He’s never been one to bring in net asset gains to the war chest much less get fair value for the assets he has. Middleton trade shattered any remaining confidence in his ability to do so.

Again, the shoe's on the other foot. So if he's been desperate, he can smell it on another team like Brooklyn, who's been thirsty. You know yourself.

It's not logical to get the Jrue return, knowing Giannis is a 1st option vs. 3rd, & that's the deal Horst made at the time. But it's cathartic to be wallowed in that level of pessimism I guess.

Middling picks and prospects for Giannis is a good way to start over if by start over you mean the darkest of dark ages for this team.

It’s better to win ~40 games for next 5 years with Giannis than pretty much every trade I’ve seen

Treadmill team?

Well you don't have to worry about the draft picks being mid first round picks because the team doesn't have many.

Would Flagg count as a 1st?

I think it'll be less than most of the people here are saying but also probably more than most of the people on the Trades board are saying.

Without looking at the trade board, I would assume you're right.

Buzzword?

Being “treadmill” team is better than being in the basement of the league, there ain’t nothing in these trades that gives the Bucks a better future. Put defense and 3s around Giannis, a modern coach that lives in this decade, the Bucks would be a hard out.

Given Horst’s talent evaluation skills, we’re boned. How df did this guy get an extension?

I file **** into the irrelevant category on a daily basis, so no, not really. And I don't consider unsourced "league sources" as "info".

As much as I hate the idea of trading Giannis, I would feel better about it if Horst wasn't in charge. If we had a Presti who we could count on to accumulate assets and rebuild, that would be something to look forward to. But we're stuck with Horst, who has done a piss poor job of talent evaluation during his tenure.

I'm also not convinced that whomever we'd trade for would opt to be loyal to Milwaukee like Giannis has been, and who knows what kind of nonsense we'll have to bat down when it comes time for them to extend.
