That is sad, B99 was fun from the first season on. I know it was a cop show, but it was always peppy and light hearted. Made me laugh a ton.

I almost never get into tv at all but I love Murdoch Mysteries. It's like a cross between Sherlock Holmes, Law & Order, Forrest Gump, Scooby Doo Mysteries, Seinfeld, Bill Nye, and James Bond all rolled into one. It has something for fans of all those franchises and more IMO. Great character development, hilarious interactions, fun mysteries, compelling human, political, and social drama, lots of science and gadgetry, insightful history, and clever easter egg references to future events, and somehow it still doesn't take itself too seriously after packing all that in.

Suffice to say I recommend.

I started The Head (HBO Max) yesterday evening. Hard show to recommend, even at six episodes. Maybe watch the first two or three, then skip ahead to episode six see if you've correctly predicted who the killer is and why.*

*You will have correctly predicted who the killer is and why.

The Lady and The Dale documentary on HBO is very interesting. Four episodes, 3 have aired. I wasn't familiar at all with the story. I don't really like the style they use in the doc, the graphics or whatever, but the story is good.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Sounds interesting. Looks like the first 10 seasons are on Hulu and the last 4 are not. I don't have Hulu but I've thought about it.

It was a bad show.
Bummer. That would be a cool story for someone like HBO to take on.

Much like the Dark Tower series imo. It could have been such a great show on HBO, and we instead get an abomination of a movie.

I guess some PBS stations carry it too, but mine doesn't. I get this over-the-air station in NYC that runs Murdoch Mystery marathons every Fri/Sat/Sun from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m., and they start over at season 1 when they're done with the last episode. Naturally I don't watch all day and I can't tape them, but I just wait for them to start over at season 1 and watch the listings to catch episodes I've missed.

I'm enjoying Giri/Haji on Netflix, I'm only about 4 episodes in- the fist couple of episodes are a slow burn but I'd encourage you to persist with it.

One of those frustrating shows where you come to it a little late, think it's okay only to find out it's already not been renewed.

Giri/Haji was one of my surprise favorites of last year. FWIW, I don't think it needs another season - it has one of the best endings in recent memory. They go for something wild, and hit it out of the park.

Even though it's ridiculous at times with it's CWness The 100 is a pretty enjoyable watch.

With no football and crappy weather for awhile I have time to get back into Billions. I started watching when it first aired and got through about half of season 1. Don't know why I stopped but I'm going to start over.

It's peak around the 2nd and into the middle of the 3rd season was pretty high. I don't know if I can recommend it much after that. It was still solid-ish but it never reached the early levels.

Spoiler:
I personally enjoyed it for the most part up until they abandoned Earth in favor of the new planet at which point it felt like a totally different show and not for the better. In fact now that I think about it I never watched the final season.

The fact we're still waiting for The French Dispatch makes me sad.

I was just thinking the same about season 2 of Love, Death and Robots.
