Disappointed - again - that they didn't announce a return of Touch ID to the iPhone. I hate facial recognition. Hoping it was an unannounced feature, but not holding my breath.

My two big takeaways were that you should never cover Marlena Shaw, and I guess I'll just keep using my X.

I only wanted new Air Pods. Mine sync a little funny from time-to-time and the mic doesn’t seem to work anymore. A little disappointed with no announcement there, but maybe I’ll consider finally buying an Apple Watch this fall.
Really though, holding out for an M2 MacBook this holiday.

I'm particularly excited for Google's first SOC on the Pixel 6.

I will try it out since I have it preordered but there are so many good looking games releasing around the same time that it will be hard for me to spend the amount of time needed, at least right away, for a game like New World.
I’ll be playing. Let me know what factions you guys are going to choose.

Bluetooth audio coming to the Switch via a damn software update.

Honestly Nintendo can just **** right off sometimes.

The great thing is, no subscription like wow, so you don't get that nagging tug in the ba k if your head that makes you want to justify spending more time on it, like some other MMOs.WRau1 wrote:GoldenAntlers wrote:Anyone plan on playing New World? The game is Very well made. Pretty stoked!

I think we’ll need to coordinate same server and faction.

Re: OT: Video Game Computers/Gadgets/Gizmos Thread
Spent the last weekish finishing up my first GOW save. Acquired and fully upgraded the best armor set, picked up a ton of legendary materials, did all the treasure maps. Still have a few attacks to purchase and Boy could use a better set of armor. All in prep for NG+.
But then I noticed Deathloop came out yesterday and not on Friday and welp guess that's what I'm gonna be playing now.

The level design is so incredible. I love exploring it, and I don't even have any of the special abilities yet.

I'll be honest I was so annoyed with the advertising blast of Deathloop I had written it off, but the reviews seem incredible and it sounds fun. I've barely watched footage, just read IGNs review, and I'm sold. When I get back to town I'll be picking it up.

100% same. Wasn't remotely on my radar because of how much it was getting shoved down our throats. But I guess it was for good reason - I was expecting another Rage or something.

I feel like Bethesda simply fails at marketing projects from Arkane Games well. Dishonored 1 + 2 are both amazing and Prey is one of the most underrated games of the past ten years.

Re: OT: Video Game Computers/Gadgets/Gizmos Thread
So I made it through one full cycle in Deathloop and the mechanics/concepts are interesting but there's a lot of information thrown at you in the first 2 hours, kinda confusing.
Does the movement and gunplay feel a bit clunky or that just me?
I'm also finding it difficult to determine/identify what items can be hacked. There are turrets that can be hacked but I always end up finding a turret after I've killed all the enemies in an area.

The only time I think the movement/ combat gets away from me a bit is melee one on ones. But it's usually good. I like the gunplay a lot. Guns jamming on you is a nice touch.
Haven't had problems with hacking, but sometimes it's tough to know how far away you can be.
But mostly I'm just in awe of the game. Last night I finished the mission where you acquire the ability to Infuse weapons, trinkets, and slabs (abilities). BIG TIP: you die immediately when you enter the machine, but you KEEP whatever gun you were last holding and it becomes a permanent item on your runs. I think this is important, because starting early runs with something like a Rapier makes life a lot easier.
Played for an hour after that and died repeatedly going after a particular slab, but I always made incremental progress with knowledge. Went home and played for a half hour over lunch and completed it with enough material to infuse and permanently gain the slab.
I'll say this, Julianna is such a brilliant character, both in terms of narrative but also gameplay. When I was sneaking and racing back to my homebase after killing the boss/Visionary, I was terrified that she was going to show up, lock the doors, and hunt me down. It's **** thrilling.
But yea, tonight I'm gonna replay the level a handful of levels to fully upgrade my Nexus ability and permanently infuse two purple level guns I located.

This is very funny to me. I assume they've never justified why they didn't ship with this.

FYI: I got 2K22, cut Bryant and made myself a 6 foot 6 Klay Thompson clone. Still almost lost to Brooklyn in my season opener.
