Really? Where'd you hear that?

EDIT: Never mind. See that he tweeted it himself. Great get!
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.

Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

Kobe King - from the La Crosse Tribune http://lacrossetribune.com/sports/badgers/central-s-king-is-headed-to-wisconsin/article_0b4e7546-8915-5110-84f2-a1622e8be8c0.html

TODD SOMMERFELDT todd.sommerfeldt@lee.net..
    KING FILE
    HEIGHT: 6-4
    POSITION: Guard
    YEAR: Junior
CAREER: King averaged 9.5 points per game as a freshman and 15.8 points and 6.3 rebounds as a sophomore for Central. The Red Raiders have a 38-10 record since he joined the team.

Kobe King had been waiting 53 days to make the phone call he made on Wednesday evening.

He remembers clearly the excitement of July 25 and the offer he received to play basketball for the University of Wisconsin.

King had plenty of other options, but coach Bo Ryan’s program was the one he was waiting on.

So the fact that the Central High School junior waited until Wednesday to accept that offer is pretty impressive.

“I have know I wanted to do this for a long time,” said the 6-foot-4 guard, who called Ryan around 6:15 p.m. with his decision to accept the offer. “This is what I wanted since I was a freshman and went to watch a game.

“I was looking around that day and thought, ‘Wow, I can see myself playing here.’”

King chose the Badgers from several other offers — Iowa State and Marquette among them — after averaging 15.8 points and 6.3 rebounds per game as a sophomore for the Red Raiders.

He is the second player from La Crosse to commit to playing for Ryan. Former Aquinas standout Bronson Koenig will be a junior and the team’s starting point guard for the 2015-2016 season.

Question for you guys.

I have the option of either going to the north dakota game on nov 17 or the 2k classic at the garden for the friday night double header on the 20th. Never been to a college game. Is it well and truely worth going to madison for the home game?

The Kohl Center is not worth going to when it is a low profile game.

North Dakota tix will be SOOOooo easy to get for pennies on the dollar. And the crowd will be awful. If its a big game we are talking about, go in person. But if thats your only option don't bother. It will be empty and about as exciting as a CPA convention (sorry to all the accts out there).

The Kohl Center is pretty generic. Against Marquette or Michigan State it might be worth it, otherwise no.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Yeah, I was thinking that happened already. Guess it was just a 'rumor' back then.

Sounds like Adidas is divesting from college bball. Nice to see the amount that Under Armour paid, though.

They play Georgetown, Duke, Syracuse, Oklahoma, and Marquette non-conference. Hardly a joke schedule, in fact, it's damn good. Most major conference teams have far more home games than road games non-conference.

Yep, it's a pretty tough schedule, especially in what's supposed to be a transition year. You gotta be looking for a gripe if you make one about that slate.
