Except for players being dealt on draft day and playoff results sometimes dictating a direction a ball club goes in? It doesn't make any sense to hold the draft and limit player movement for playoff teams OR put a player in a position to play on a ball club knowing full well he's already been traded and won't be on the team next season.

Bucks out: Khris Middleton, Eric Bledsoe, Donte DiVincenzo, IND 2020 1st (#24), MIL 2024 top 3 prot 1st, 2 IND 2nds
Bucks in: Damian Lillard, Taj Gibson (team option 20-21), Dennis Smith Jr.

Blazers out: Damian Lillard
Blazers in: Khris Middleton, Donte DiVincenzo, NYK 2020 1st (#8), IND 2020 1st (#24), MIL 2024 top 3 protected 1st

Knicks out: Taj Gibson, Dennis Smith Jr., NYK 2020 1st (#8)
Knicks in: Eric Bledsoe, 2 IND 2nds

No combination of Bucks assets (excluding GA) gets Lillard.

DOA.

That's correct, but as Prez said it would be based on Lillard actually wanting to leave and team up with Giannis. If you ever trade a superstar you will not get equivalent value. That's reasonably even, IMO, but again it would be based on Lillard wanting to leave. We all understand it's extremely unlikely to happen.

If that’s the offer I’d rather let him walk as a free agent and rebuild.

Dame won't happen. Just go for CP3 and give him the keys to the team. Assuming his body lets him, one final hurrah to get his ring. Can't trust bud, but i'm confident paul knows to make the right play. He's also a douche but tough and we could use a lot of this. I also want schroder as the back up.

Khris + bled for CP3 + schroder

Is Khris a positive, neutral, or negative asset right now?

Positive for a team like the Bucks, negative for most teams where he would be their best player. If Portland trades Lillard, I can't imagine they'd have any interest in Middleton.

Assuming he played the way he did last season on other teams in this scenario he's a straight up positive asset no questions asked on every single team. He would receive positive value in a trade easily.

If that's the case I'd look into trading him. And that's not saying anything negative about him, but I think we need a different type of player, some high usage creator who will take a lot of the weight of making plays off Giannis's shoulders. CP3 sounds great, I just wish he was 1-2 years younger. I'm worried he'll fall off a cliff without any warning.

Give up an All Star SF so you can get a back up PG whose only good season was at SG, when we already have a great back up PG?

Hard pass. If we decide to get Paul, we won't have to give up Khris. Just say no to Schroder.

Came here to see if some people have calmed down and gained some perspective on what happened to the Bucks in the playoffs now that the season is over. Khris is potentially a negative asset now and let's trade him for CP3?? Christ, it's only getting worse.

Trading Khris for fair value would be fine because they need a lead guard more than they need Khris, but the desperation on display makes me want to pull my hair out.

I think it’s fine wanting to trade Midds for a more impactful player who fills a bigger need. Even if that dude is 35.

The point is you can get that dude without giving up Khris, so it would make zero sense to include Khris.

I can't tell you how shocked I am that we're trying to figure out what we can get for Khris a year after giving him $178 mil. Nobody could have predicted this development.

Because he outperformed literally everybody's prediction and solidified the contract as not only not bad but valuable? That's why nobody predicted it?

And yet....

Middleton + Lopez to New Orleans

Paul + Holliday To Milwaukee

Various picks + Salary filler to OKC

Bucks trade Khris without getting back a steal & superstar level talent would lead to Giannis probably leaving. Khris is underrated as hell. It's got to be a haul & no that's not Chris Paul.

No reason to lose minutes from washed up (retired) vet Marvin Williams.

Ersan's playoff experience and him being able to impact a game and change the momentum of a game with plays on both ends were really missed

I'm not big on "told you so" things if it comes at the expense of the team, but there's an ultra-cynic part of me that kind of wants us to trade for Jrue Holiday just so he can predictably underwhelm while I point and laugh and say "I told you so".
