Half court offense/shot creation still our biggest need, but I'm just out on guys like Sexton and Poole who don't have a passing/playmaking bone in their entire bodies. You need to bring in a better decision-maker, not a braindead shot-IQ guy who's gonna hijack the offense in crunch-time.

Who are we bringing in that has all the traits you're looking for and is affordable with the assets we have? Yeah, I want that guy too, but it's probably not possible.

Sexton was asked to do wayy too much in CLE and really poor development.

Look at what 1 year has done for him under Hardy. If you watched him this year..he was much better and more controlled. Coming to MKE would probably be even better and he's still young. He's the type of player you want to gamble on and probably won't cost the future to do so.

If we end up with Nurse, I wonder if Poole would be viewed by Toronto as a *better than nothing* return for VanVleet. Maybe a deal where Khris (opt-in) goes to GSW, Poole to Toronto, FVV (opt-in) & Kuminga to us.

Then do that Jrue for maxey and Tobes trade.

He mad. I'm starting to wonder how much involvement he had with Bud's firing.
Giannis was clearly upset about not covering Jimmy more:

“Yes,” he replied. “Out of respect, you gotta let the coach make the adjustment,” Antetokounmpo said. “We have our best defender on him. There were conversations with Jrue. whenever he gets tired, I can take him. He’s so competitive. He plays so hard. He wants to take the challenge. But at the end of the day, I wish I could guard him more.”
“I don’t think as a team we made the right, or we didn’t make as many, adjustments as we could against him,” Giannis added.

FVV/Maxey would be a pretty small backcourt, but it could work. Maxey is damn strong for his size with a 6'7" wingspan.

Seeing some Poole ideas, not interested in taking on his contract unless GSW is attaching pretty good positive value to offset it.

Very few things would be worse than Khris walking for nothing in return. Taking Jordan Poole in return is one of those things. Stay far away.

Tried to get creative out of boredom. If OKC is intent on taking another step this season and the premium guys are off the table, perhaps they could help us with the Dame pipe dream.

Milwaukee trades
Khris Middleton
Bobby Portis
Marjon Beauchamp

Milwaukee receives
Damian Lillard
Kenrich Williams

OKC trades
Chet Holmgren
Lu Dort
David Nwaba
Kenrich Williams

OKC receives
Khris Middleton
Bobby Portis

Portland trades
Damian Lillard

Portland receives
Chet Holmgren
Lu Dort
Marjon Beauchamp
David Nwaba

Add picks and swaps where needed? Portland gets two local kids and good young role player in Dort and shaves 12 mil off their cap this year alone. Guess it would depend on high they (and OKC for that matter) value Holmgren.

Dame
Jrue/Grayson
Crowder/Pat
Giannis/Kenrich
Brook

Maybe dangle Allen for a back up big and try to convince Jevon to stick around.

I am not a Khris guy but they'd have to add something to make it worthwhile. I understand Beal's talents but I also think he's delusional about said talents and I don't think he has a winning mindset.

This certainly feels like a farewell message

My guess is we’re hiring Nurse and he’s going to want to get significantly more athletic/versatile.

Gimme that sweet sweet Bobby for Eason trade.

Both of those things mean nothing if he's trash.

He's not trash. 20ppg scorer on similar efficiency to Khris (better TS% the last 2 seasons). 9 years younger. Shut out by his teammates this postseason. Just entering his prime. Has a good contract.

He's been trash this postseason but it's pretty obvious watching the games and some of the interactions that have happened on the bench that GS big 3 has pretty much shut him out.

Khris is on the edge of being done. It will only get worse from here. If Khris walks, we're done. If Khris re-signs on a 3/4 year deal for $30+/year, we're done.

If Khris opts in we have two options: run it back one more time with a new coach and pray that Khris is in-shape and healthy, or trade him. I'd easily take Poole on his current 4 year deal > Khris on a new 3/90 deal.
