Nah he's been this way the whole time with his irrationally high views on the guys he loves. Nobody know anything yet he says Parker is so much higher then Wiggins, which could possibly have a shred of truth (doubt it), but then spews something like saying he believes Smart would be third on our board. Yeah, that's not projecting hate towards one player and pimping the guy you like at all. Literally nothing at all should even slightly make anyone believe Smart would be higher besides an inflated opinion of oneself.

That's just it. I don't dislike Parker at all and would love to have him on this team. I think he's the most likely rookie of the year at this moment.

With that I feel like we really need a star and I am looking at several players that could be a star. For some reason I think Exum will be one of the best players in this draft. For me I honestly have him over Parker and that's mostly on gut feeling with 2 close players. I still have Wiggins and Embiid 1-2. Give me that uber athlete and I'll take my chances.

What's funny to me is how certain some people are at this point. Aren't the individual workouts huge in this process? I cannot wait to workout the top guys in this draft and then hopefully see and hear some interesting stuff. They should record and publish these workouts.

I disagree a little bit that individual workouts should be a huge part in the process. I think more emphasis should be placed on the collegiate season than what they do in individual workouts. Just because a guy can "jump" high and is an "athlete" doesn't mean he is a good basketball player.

Individual workouts is how we get the Joe Alexanders and Yi Jianlians of the world.

It may be the casual fans and Woelfel's of the world rioting if Cleveland takes Wiggins and we draft Embiid number two.

Even if Woelfel got word directly from Embiid or Wiggins' family that they were willing to play in Milwaukee, he wouldn't write this kind of article.

That's where journalism becomes propaganda. It's more about writing to fit your agenda vs writing to convey all points and the truth.

It's the equivalent of Wickett/Chuck putting a topic out there such as who would you rather draft: Wiggins or Parker? No mention of Embiid because they don't want him.
We're going to turn this team around 360 degrees.

So we tend to focus on Ceiling, Size, Athleticism/combine and intangibles.

Do we know what the Bucks or other professional scouts actually measure? I've obviously heard things like "he killed the interview", etc. And I read something about personality test, but can't recall if that was NBA or NFL.

Does anyone have any insight on what is all taken into account by the team itself?

I know, right? These anti-Wiggins guys are so hostile toward anyone who doesn't share their misguided opinion.

I haven't been this excited in an off season since the Bogut pick. As much as I want Wiggins to be the pick I won't be upset with Parker or Embiid. I almost forget we have a very young Giannis as well. Who ever we pick the Bucks will be a team to watch for the next decade. Now we just need to hit on one more draft and were golden!

[tweet]https://twitter.com/davidroy11/status/475268060732194816[/tweet] This had me laughing.

And I will be elated if they somehow end up taking him, on par with the Giannis selection last year. Which happens to be the most excited I've been by a Bucks' pick in the years that I've followed the draft live.

I am not sure that the individual workouts only yield results in the athleticism category. I agree it does allow an athlete to showcase his athleticism. I also believe though that a lot is garnered on shooting ability, form, footwork, general feel for the players "moves", etc etc.

I think regardless that they have been very influential in deciding whom to pick. I could be wrong, but that has been my assumption.

Yeah, I'd have that board Randle/Saric/Stauskas/McDermott.

While I tend to agree, the gap for me isn't as big as you might think. If I had #8 and those were the four guys available it wouldn't take much for me to trade back and take McDermott. The hustle and smarts are there and they compensate for a lot.

It's the ridiculous double standard of his argument. The whole argument that we shouldn't care who we want, but who we think the Bucks will draft ends with him saying he thinks everyone's an idiot if we think we'd take Wiggins over Parker but then he says something like we'd take Smart over Wiggins, which maybe 2 people in the world believe and there isn't a shred of evidence to back it up. If anyone believes we'd take Smart over Wiggins they are just projecting their love of a player to irrational proportions. Even you have Randle above most of these guys but I'd be willing to say you wouldn't put any stock in them actually taking him over the other guys (namely the perceived top 3).

This is the best draft experience I've had with the Bucks in what seems like forever. In my opinion, there are 3 players clearly above everyone else. The Bucks are picking second which I think means it's virtually impossible for them to not get one of them. I have my favorites but no matter which of the three they take, the talent and upside is very high with all of them so it's a no-lose scenario. Even the year the Bucks got Bogut I was worried they might take Marvin so there was some apprehension even with the No. 1 pick. Not this year. This is a walk in the park for me because, for the first time in a long time, I think the situation is set up so perfectly that even the Bucks can't muck it up.
Nothing will not break me.

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
