Its just amazing how much different this team is. Teams take on the personality of their PG and jrue and bled are polar opposites.

Yep. Also, while Jrue is only a few percentage points better than Bledsoe as a shooter, he has much greater shot confidence. Plus, Jrue can get where he wants on offense while Bledsoe was best at directly attacking the rim (but that is a horrible fit because of the ever present Giannis wall waiting at the rim.

Not to mention, Jrue is much more in control. He’s not going to commit extra turnovers which was a huge issue when two of the three best Bucks last season where super prone to bad turnovers (Giannis and Bled).

When things get tight, Jrue can get the team a good shot in the half court against a set D, that was not in Bledsoe’s skill set.

His defense is otherworldly. Bledsoe played good defense but Holiday is another level.

Just wish he was 25 instead of 30.

I'd prefer to say Jrue is a better fit for this roster than Bledsoe.

We all got Bledsoe's issues. But in ranking all-time franchise PG's over the past 50-years, Bledsoe is easily in the top ten, probably higher. He was a hell of a player for us, at a time when we needed him.

Jrue would be a better fit *on every roster in the NBA* than Bledsoe. Because he's literally better at everything. Some things he's only a little better, some things he's a lot better. But there isn't a single thing he's worse at.

From what we've seen so far I think that is underselling things.

Aside from the 3 point shooting, he's really brought a good flow to each game. He knows how to move and get to his spots without forcing it or looking like a spaz in the process and his vision has been, in my opinion, levels ahead of what Bledsoe was giving us most nights. His presence will be a welcomed sight come playoff time in high pressure situations.

He was very good, and if a few shots bounce differently, we might have won a championship with him in 2019.

But, bringing him back would've been a complete disaster and we'd probably be sitting here with an unsigned Giannis Supermax with few options. I completely understand Horst having to pay what he did to get him here.

Bledsoe will be a great 6th man, which might happen in the next 5 games.

Holiday is a difference maker for this team. He just looks like the most adult, complete basketball player on the team. Within five minutes he was already an upgrade.
"Wes, Hill, Ibaka, Allen, Nwora, Brook, Pat, Ingles, Khris are all slow-mo, injury prone ... a sandcastle waiting for playoff wave to get wrecked. A castle with no long-range archers... is destined to fall. That is all I have to say."-- FOTIS

No arguments there.

I just don't feel it is right to slander Bledsoe, which I sometimes see in posts here.

Bledsoe choked during certain (not all) playoff series, which necessitated finding a better replacement. At the same time, Bledsoe's total body of work here was damn good. The gap between Bledsoe and the guys he replaced (MCW, Kendall Marshall, Vasquez, Bayless, etc) was a canyon. I am grateful for the service Aqua Dagger gave us.

I haven't gotten to watch many games with the no FSWI thing, but he appears to even better than I expected. Also, and most importantly, he seems to have a whole lot of what we were missing as a creator/scorer.

He plays with great pace. Knows when to speed up and when to slow down. Always in control.

Yeah, seems like defensively he is right there with Bledsoe but anti Bledsoe on offense in a very good way.

To my eye he is significantly better on defense than Bledsoe as well. He is great on the ball like Bledsoe but noticeably better anticipation and hands for help defense.

Jrue's been pretty much exactly as I expected. Which is to say, a phenomenal addition, a true calming presence, always in control, and well worth the package if we are able to extend him.

There has been one surprise. I knew his left was good. But I had no I idea that he was damn near ambidextrous. His ability to finish with either hand and make all the passes (touch, darts, angles) with his left has been so damn impressive. Great start to his Bucks career.
