I bought BG3 on Mac thinking I would eventually get to it, but didn't because it's on my work machine and I sometimes actually work.

So yea, just bought it again on Xbox now. 137 GB, goddamn.

Some fun trailers out of the awards tonight. Not sure how many, if any, I'll ultimately get, but it was cool to see a new game from the No Mans Sky people for example.

Not a big POE guy, but POE2 looks incredible.

FF7 Rebirth is still my most anticipated game of 2024. Beyond excited.

Yes please

*crosses fingers that it doesn't need 2-years worth of updates before it's playable*

Holy ****, go Larian! I totally expected Zelda to win. That's so great to see. Long live Sven.

Zelda was average at best and that crap hardware doesnt help. Talk about resting on your laurels with that game.

I'm not a Zelda fan by any stretch and I didn't love BotW, but TotK was legitimately amazing.

Same. Incredible game and I totally did not expect it.

TotK and BG3 in the same year was insanity and alone trumps basically any other year I can think of.

Any suggestions or tips for a new BG3 player? Resources are scarce for the Xbox. I like three hours in and I don't even know how to open my inventory.

Well, first off, there's no inventory.

Everything you loot gets sent to the commissary and then later on you can buy it back with credits.

Alright, I know nothing about the Xbox version of the game, but did they completely change how the game functions? That would be an incredibly odd decision.

Again, unless they completely changed some core function of the game, try opening your character sheet. Inventory management is absolutely part of BG3.

I was having fun and just getting started in GTA, but yea, I can see BG3 is gonna eat up a whole lot of my time. Good to know I've got two absolute monsters available this winter.

Anyone playing POE - Oath of the Magi is absolutely bonkers for leveling. The league mechanic is really difficult early, but worth pushing through in A3/4 to find the yellow guy and get this node. 30% MS with no gems in boots; 50 all res with no gems in helm.

Im no graphics snob, but having a game that drops frames all the time in 2023 is not acceptable. plays like the expansion it was supposed to be.

You mean besides the remixed locations, insanely great and ground breaking new abilities, and the entirely new worlds they added on top and bottom?

What kind of suggestions you want? Like builds and what not? My only suggestion is that playing a class with charisma as one of your main stats is ideal in a solo campaign. Since you’ll be doing all the talking, might as well be good at talking. Classes that use charisma are bard, paladin, sorcerer, and warlock. If you want to be more of a jack of all trades and buff your party members to do the damage, go bard. If you want to do more of the heavy hitting yourself go paladin if you like melee, either sorcerer or warlock if you like magic blasting. Personally I went paladin and took the Oath of Ancients subclass to give myself additional healing options and easy access to a way to speak with animals (opens up a lot of interesting options and some quests even).
