I expected this to take till the afternoon and to suffer through dozens of depressing hot takes first.

Thank god.

Sit him the rest of the regular season and then see who we play in the 1st round and maybe sit him again for a game or two.
That's twice now he escaped huge injuries. Really hope his(and ours) luck holds up for a decade more.

This team can lose to everyone. You sit Giannis 2 playoff games in the playoffs your pointing the series. Remember last year? No one feared Miami last year. They were an “8 seed”, we blew them out the year before, etc.

If he’s hurt and can’t go obviously he sits.

The 1 game he didn't play is the one we won though

It’s good that now all we need to worry about is Giannis being underdone for the playoffs again and the team having almost no chemistry together when he gets back. That’s definitely better than the alternative.

Giannis usually looks the best after time off IF he is fully recovered. The gel thing is definitely something I worry about. We are basically the Nets with KD/Kyrie/Harden. Every time someone gets healthy, another player is injured. These three have not played together much. Hopefully that means other teams have no clue how to defend all three at the same time and WE STAY HEALTHY.

JayMKE wrote:Firing Bud in retrospect is a fireable offense, I don’t care about whatever context you put to it about how Bud was always on the hot seat and that we just had to do something after the first round exit. The same logic dictates that now Horst’s head has to be on the chopping block, firing Bud was bad enough but it was followed by botching every other offseason decision. Budenholzer on its own is bad enough but hiring Griffin then dealing for Dame doing his best Gary Payton impersonation then signing Doc for 4/40 is unforgivable. It’s imperative that Horst isn’t allowed to compound his mistakes further, he can’t be the guy cleaning up his own mess.

Get this loser back sorting mail his 15 minutes are up, I wish we could offer Bud GM/coach/POBA job to return. We need real basketball people running the team. This team is way worse than it has been in 5 years, even the JKidd years I was hopeful, now its clear this team and entire franchise has taken a massive step back. I thought the org was trending the way of San Antonio, we sold the identity and soul of the team and now we’ll suffer consequences for years. This team right now has 1st/2nd round ceiling after 5 straight years of genuine contention, its just straight up not a good team now.

Marjon and AJJ are tremendous disappointments, they simply might just suck but they haven’t developed at all here.

JayMKE is a great poster. But I can't think of a post that I disagree with more. I've already made the points many times before, so I'll spare all of you. Plenty of time for history discussions in a few months or maybe in a few weeks. :D

Just starting to feel like it's a cursed season. Definitely best possible news with the calf, but now the worry is how much it's gonna affect him for a prolonged playoff run. We should all be longing for the days of "load managing" to the 1-seed. Instead, now we're running our two main stars 35+ MPG into the ground just to eek out 48-50 regular season wins and limp into the playoffs...

Definitely great news for Giannis and the team from a big picture perspective. Still don't feel great about him trying to rush back and play on it this postseason.

Shame on all Bucks fans for doubting Wolverine. Everyone should know by now that speculating a Giannis injury is a waste of time lol.

It’s always interesting when certain posters come out of the woodwork to play armchair doctor only to be proven completely wrong.

I think it was a fireable offense that they seemed to have fired Bud without having identified a replacement. No point in rushing the firing without aligning with Giannis and possible candidates. No one gave a **** we basically had Doc lined up to replace AG. We should've done the same with Bud.

Lol. I get the anxiety it creates not really knowing and expecting the worst but at the end of the day it’s still Giannis. Things that would put normal ppl in wheelchairs are minor problems for him lol.

I think it’s very reasonable to have watched that injury last night, and remember the Achilles tendinitis earlier and be worried that it was the Achilles or a serious injury. Now claiming it’s for sure an Achilles is wild. I also think the people surely claiming it was just cramp or just strain before the mri was just as wild too.

All in all great news overall.

1. Doldrums -- check
2. On the ropes -- check
3. Apparently catastrophic Giannis injury -- check
4. Championship -- ?

Bucks initial diagnosis was calf strain.

I think ya fire him immediately so he can find a job if he wants one.
