No wonder the Knicks went after Bridges and paid OG. They new Hartenstein was likely getting $30mm a year and didn't want to go there.

Brook at one year at $24 million has to look very appealing to teams that consider themselves contenders, save for a big to match up against Jokic and Embiid.

Losing Hartenstein hurts, but they have Mitchell Robinson so the Knicks will be fine as long as they stay relatively healthy.

Philly right behind them adding Paul George, Eric Gordon and Drummond, locking up Maxey, bringing back Oubre. They're making a Bucks-esque bet on older players and needing Embiid and George to be healthy when it matters, but much like how I feel about the Bucks, I think it's a worthy gamble.

Yeah, they have more worrisome "if healthy" caveats than we do, but apart from that, Philly should definitely be considered a top tier team.

Philly’s depth might be in worse shape than ours, but Embiid, PG and Maxey, if healthy, is as good of a 3 as any.

Has nothing to do with the Bucks, but I wonder how the Rockets feel about Jabari Smith. If I were them, I'd probably be trying to cash in what value I could from his so-called potential. Not great that his year 1 to year 2 leap was basically just an improvement in efficiency, mostly from shot selection.

I think we could probably say the same of a lot of their guys. They're quickly getting to the point where they have too many young pieces, not enough minutes to go around, and also have aspirations to win in the short-term. Someone or someones are going to get squeezed out there.

30M for I Hart is kinda wild but the market was there. He had like 2 months of really solid play when you actually look at it. Jo Val looks great at 10M a year.
