Trae Young is a bizarre looking individual.

Porter measured better than Horford and actually better than I expected overall. He is the guy if he is there at 17

Most of the shooters in the draft are toe on the line guys. Huerter has that range.

He's showing out at the Combine.

6' 6.25" height
8' 5.5" standing reach
6' 7.5" wing
38" max vert

And he's putting up weight.

If you're looking for a Korver type for Bud, I think he's your guy

I'm a big believer in the shuttle. Change of direction is enormously important compared to 3/4 sprint, etc. And he had the best shuttle time at the entire combine.

He was probably the biggest winner today at the combine. Still has strength issues but a GREAT shooter with sneaky quick change of pace is a highly useful player.

Bamba is a Hammond and magic match written all over it. Haven’t really looked quite yet to where bamba could go so idk if it’s even a possibility

I updated my draft preferences in my signature based on Days 1 and 2 of the Combine.

So far the biggest rise for me is Gary Trent Jr. He is now in my top 5. The previous knock on him was his lack of athleticism but he tested really well. His height was as advertised as was his shot, scoring 22 points on 7-11 (3-5 from 3) today.

So far the biggest fall for me is Zhaire Smith. He's out of my top 5 now (I had him at 3) due to being under 6'3 and while his athletic testing was good it didn't wow me enough to make up for his deficiencies.

The knock on Gary Trent is not his athleticism.

Per nbadraft.net,
Weaknesses: Average run/jump athlete … Lacks explosiveness … Does not possess quick feet or lateral quickness… Plays mostly below the rim … Does not have an ideal combination of size, length, and leaping ability, which can make it hard for him to fight for rebounds or make plays at the rim at the next level …

Except that he can't play defense, he's not going to be able to "out athlete" defenders like he did in college, and he's an **** with poor impulse control and emotional issues.

I'm big on Porter followed by Khyri Thomas. Think both would be excellent fits for us

Man, I think I'm falling in love with Okogie... not just because of the insane combine numbers & 5-on-5 play, or the fit, but he seems like a really impressive kid in interviews. And he's a gamer. High motor, stellar athlete, gets to the line, good shooter, young for his class. Total package. He may have surpassed Jontay for me.

Zhaire
Okogie
Porter

Get me one of them, please.

They are very Bucks. Lots of turn taking in the sets, but the ball didn't get back to Huerter nearly enough.

He also likes to pass, but I wasn't very impressed with his teammates, so it probably would have made sense for him to shoot more.

I got the impression that he's not entirely confident in his handle yet.

Aced every athletic test, measured out with legit 2 guard size (6-4 with 7' wingspan and 8'6" standing reach), played well in both games. Young sophomore, doesn't turn 20 until September. He should be in the mix for us.

Definitely.

Great to see Melton have such a good showing. Time to put on some Okogie film.

Just watched a clip of him against Syracuse. He has legit range. Deeeep range.

Watched some Melton stuff, too. Seems like a good "do what needs to be done" type.
