None that I'm aware of. And I would be aware of it if there was. They lost our group of 30 years STH and didn't bat an eye.

That's nice... I emailed my rep I'm bowing out. I'll see if I hear back otherwise will send formal cancel out tomorrow morning.

I'm surprised Squad 6 (don't recall their current name) is still around.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I emailed my rep saying I was cancelling and he said the pricing would be out in 7 to 10 days and we'd "see what's best for me." My bucks login account (where it already lists the 42% increase) says auto renewal is set up for the 17th and I don't see a way to cancel myself.

The thing I don’t get is how some of us got the pricing for next year already and some haven’t?

T&Cs has an email you can cancel at within 30 days of invoice. I think it is tickets@bucks.com.

That's what is listed under "contact us" on their site, so I'll give that a try. Thanks.

Long standing STH act as a buffer when/if things go south. Alienating them in favor of some Johnny Come Lately who will drop his tix as soon as it becomes unfashionable to attend or the market dips, is poor form imo. They likely have knowledge of what way Giannis is leaning and feel comfortable that they’ll be good for a long time, but who knows?

Good system would have been to reduce the increase by 2% for every year of holding tickets. 30 year holder? Your ticket increase is discounted by 60%. Brand new? You pay the full increase.

Did you log into your account?

If not, maybe they are doing tests to see the cancellation rates. Try an increase at a couple test levels and then adjust up or down for the remaining. They can't have inconsistent pricing for the same price point but if they do it at different price points you can't compare.

My rep hadn't contacted me yet, but I could see the new rate in my account when I logged in. The only reason I had any idea was my coworker who is also in the uppers said something.

Would've been a cool strategy.

They cynic in me is that they think Giannis is leaving and want to get the base rate locked in super high and hope a deep playoff run locks in new ticket holders. I think a finals run will replenish STH temporarily.

I wonder if and when the owners bail. I don't see them here long-term and they made their initial money from the stadium, fixing operations and winning. The winning and stadium bump will only decrease in the future and operations will level off. I don't think much profit is made from running a team year-to-year. I'm willing to bet Herb would've been better off putting his money in the market than absorbing losses over 30 years.

Yup I got my pricing. Budged a little but since it will be my second year.

I called my rep yesterday afternoon and left a message saying I will not renew for 2020-2021. He still hasn't called me back.

I also heard from others that they will be asking "what can we do for you?" aside from not raising ticket prices.

I think it is interesting that this all came out with the longest possible time before the next home game.

Would be an interesting story for a reporter to compare Bucks tickets prices three years ago versus today.

But then also compare these new prices with other markets, both LA and comparable like Indy and Minneapolis. My sense is the new prices probably now get the Bucks closer to parity with the league, but don’t know. Also would love to know percentage of business ticket accounts versus individuals.

One thing that was great about the Bucks was fact that so many season ticket holders were real fans and not corporate accounts. But the corporate accounts are where the real money is. So yeah, we’re going that direction.

I emailed my rep saying I’m done and he called me right away and left a voicemail wanting to talk but I told him I just want the auto-renewal turned off before I’m billed $3800 on the 17th.

Don’t think there’s anything they could offer to make an 84% increase palatable, so I’m done. I really don’t want that charge go through and then have to keep begging for a refund while they string me along hoping I’ll give up and keep the tickets.

I believe they are now called The Clap. Hard to get rid of them.

I got the same thing. Responded back they want to talk over the phone. I'm still on monthly so at least wont get billed the whole thing. I dont see any scenario where I stay either.

What are the odds on owners selling high if we win the championship or even make the finals this year?

I could see Edens getting out, but Lasry seems pot committed to this team. They had that deal where Lasry took over last year and he’s been much more invested with the team and league than Edens (who seems to be more of a look at me kinda guy I.e. the guests he brings to games). Lasry (and his son for what it’s worth) have been pretty vocal in their actual team designated roles.

That’s just my two cents.

That study came out stating average value of a team is now 2.1 billion. We don’t have the market, but best team/best player/new arena.... probably worth 4x what they paid. None of those variables are static though. All prone to change in any given season. The 3 principles could walk away with 500 million profit each this summer. Crazy.

These are ultra rich guys but none are so rich that a 1/2 billion is a drop in the bucket. Edens is worth 1.2 and Lasry 1.8 billion.
