You see them on the street. You watch them on TV.
You might even vote for one this fall.
You think they're people just like you.
You're wrong. Dead wrong.

Roddy Piper was great in this movie. Also really great in his "Always Sunny in Philadelphia" episode. Great sense of humor. Would have been an all time "guy to sit down and have a beer with."

I was familiar with the story before hand, and yet it still shocked me and made me gasp. It is hard to wrap my head around how a particular ingrained view of state and country contributed to such a disaster, one that could have easily been even worse. I think the most surprising thing to me about the series was how plain and austere everything in the country was. Most of the former soviets who watched it, raved at how accurate the costumes and sets were. We tune in to something like "Stranger Things" and have so much fondness and nostalgia for the same era. But the USSR essentially bankrupt themselves on military spending and the people lived so meagerly.

Jared Harris is a treasure, great in everything he does. He is never demonstrative or trying to steal the scene, but he has a gravity of sorts that organically centers each scene around his characters. Just a really great actor.

I watched the Dana Carvey Show, though I only really remember the “world leaders in their baths” sketches.
Looking back, what an allstar writing staff. Ive been meaning to give hulu another chance, thanks for the notice!

He was in two different eps. Was fantastic in both of them.

Robert Smigel, Louis CK, Stephen Colbert, Steve Carell, Jon Glaser, Dino Stamatopolous, not to mention Academy Award winner Charlie Kaufman....just ridiculous.

Holy ****. I didnt know about Charlie Kaufman. Also thought Bob Odenkirk was there too...but maybe Im thinking of Late Night w Conan OBrien writers. (A lot of the same guys). Idk.

Imagine the kind of show those guys could’ve done in this era w all the freedom afforded by multiple streaming/cable platforms.

Season 2 of The end of the **** world was so unnecessary but still pretty good. Hope they leave it as it is now.

Anyone else watching Living With Your Self (with Paul Rudd) on Netflix. Found it to be quite brilliant. Fascinating concept.

Also recently watched Atypical Season 3. Still a quality well-meaning show.

Looking forward to season 2 of the end of the **** world and Jack Ryan. Also, season 2 of Final Space comes out on Netflix here in a couple of weeks. Keen for that as well.

I’m nearly finished with Living with Yourself. I’ll give my initial thoughts. Concept is great. There are so many places this show could go. I am finding that I don’t find where it’s going all that interesting though. Also, having a hard time emotionally connecting with any of the characters. The comedy is okay. I love Paul Rudd and the concept so I’m hanging in. We will see how it ends up. I think I have one or two more episodes. Another season might get it on the right track for me.

Can't believe they're eating vermicelli, DESTROYING everything that had been built by L&T canon, spaghetti-wise.

The Mandalorian

Spoiler:
Imo it started off slow but after he accepts the bounty until the end it was great.

I loved the bounty droid, too bad it was so short lived.

The ending has me intrigued enough to keep watching.
