When my wife was pregnant with her first (9.5 years ago), she sent me on a run for the border. Brought it back, she ate it all, sent me back out for more.

Huge mistake. Neither of us have had it since.

You saying Glenn Bell's company doesn't make an authentic taco anymore?

Yeah, Taco Bell isn't good. But no one goes to Taco Bell because it's good. They go because it's fast and cheap and open late and/or hits the right spot for a non-sober mind.

I've always thought though that you can make a simple taco incredibly easily at home if you've got some ground beef, basic seasonings, salsa, cheese, and tortillas, which are all staples in my kitchen. You can step it up quite a bit, of course, but the basic formula will take you 20 minutes of prep and cook time.

When I'm feeling especially lazy, I'll go to Chipotle, order a burrito bowl with double meat and all of the fixings on the side, and then go home and assemble my own tacos. I can usually get 6-8 tacos out of one burrito bowl, perhaps chopping up an avocado of my own to add instead of paying $3 for guac.

My wife got me an air fryer for Christmas. Was a big hit over New Year's making frozen wings. What are some other frozen foods that taste light year's better in an air fryer as compared to a microwave or conventional oven. Like this morning I made a couple of McDonald's-style hash browns in there. Halfway through I lightly brushed them with olive oil. Tasted great.

Tater tots take a lot less time and taste great. Moz sticks. Egg rolls. I use mine all the time.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I will never be eating at Chipotle again. Food poisoning seems to happen much too frequently there and I've been a victim of it.

I always go Burachos over Chipotle. One of those things where I had one thing I very much loved years ago (burrito bowl, barbacoa, no beans, extra veggies, corn salsa, habanero salsa, guac, cheese, and sour cream) and have never opted for anything different since. Get it maybe once a month.

Frozen french fries. No oil, just add salt and whatever seasoning. The heat, plus any 'melt' from the frozen fry, get the salt and seasoning to stick without oil. It's essentially all I use ours for and it's still worth it.

Coincidentally, I just made tots for lunch! Halfway through, I put chopped up turkey bacon on them, and then shredded cheese for the final minute.

Yup, have done plenty of fries. Also made some killer hash. Diced potatoes, coat in a bowl with olive oil, and sprinkle with a paprika-based seasoning.

Already did that, except it was the breakfast ones with the pancake breading and sausage in the middle. 8-)

The #1 women's speed skater in the world at 500m won't be going to the Olympics because she slipped and lost too much time (like .2 seconds). Which I totally get - that's what trials are for - but it kind of sucks the #1 skater in the world won't be at the Olympics.

Yup! The sickest I've ever been is from food poisoning that I got at the Chipotle on s. 27th in Milwaukee.

I love you all, but can you air fryer weirdos please explain why you just didn't get a countertop convection oven? Because air fryers are a thing that make my eyes twitch in their stupidity.

That's what an air fryer is?

Mine was a gift, but space was the main reason. Plus it's easier to clean, and to "shake" things like fries halfway though to get an even cook.

If you're on S. 27th St and craving Mexican, you deserve to have a mud fountain shoot out of your ass for not taking the extra 5 minutes to go somewhere like Los Camales.

Yep. I held out a long time because it was just another thing we already had in some form, but ours at least has a really small footprint, was not expensive, and make fries in like 10 minutes. I love it.

I used to deliver their catering orders and they would hand me stacks of cards that were good for free food. If I was paying, I'd probably end up at Taco Loco or Tu Casa.
