Ron Swanson keeps stealing my cool ideas. I was just thinking that Gianni is more like evolutionary Wilt. I would say the only difference is that we're seeing the steady evolution of him into a PF/C hub on offense and defense and him operating out of the mid-high post area like you mentioned. He's just mixing it in with still putting dudes in the basket and his track-style transition game.

I honestly thought he was better when his knee was swollen in the Finals and he had to think ok, what else can I do other than outrun and outjump these guys? He was taking those midrange shots and those FTs and he knew they had to go in because that's his game now, and when he did have to plant hard and jump he had to make it count because he could only do it so much. I thought that mindset served him well.

That's how I imagine him at 35-37, plus a whole bunch of tiny, incremental skill improvements he would've made by then.

Might even see Giannis pump fake for the first time in his life.

Giannis will leave when Khris and Jrue are not good players any more and still have years in their contracts. And we will all tip our hats to him and say fair enough and wish him all the best.

Much ado about nothing.

What was the question Giannis was answering there?

I don’t understand why he has to make statements like that lol. It’s like that one partner who constantly threatens to leave the relationship unless you treat them perfectly.

I guess I believe when he speaks he really is just being too literal and nice sometimes. He really doesn't know what the future will hold for him beyond his current contract with the Bucks and he is just saying a nice thing about the Bulls because he is a nice person. I don't take it too seriously. For all the great quotes and anecdotes we get from him being the way he is, the news cycle that these types of comments generate is the downside to that.

How many times are people gonna fall for this stuff? He says junk every offseason about "maybe I'll play somewhere else someday" because he's just being refreshingly honest about not knowing what the future holds. I'm an actions over words guy and you tell me what his actions over the past 9 years tells you about how likely it is he leaves during his prime to go play in Chicago, or LA, or Miami, or wherever.

Keep putting good teams around our man. The question is important, as is the nature of his response but the possibility is out there... His #1 priority is winning.

Good for him, Giannis can do what he wants because he’s that kinda talent. I expect him to at least finish out his contract but wouldn’t be surprised at all if he decides to head out in a year or two.

It’s always been a good thing that he leaves these straightforward answers about his future and started doing less of those bucks for life quotes because they come back and bite you when you decide to move on.

Anywhere but Chicago, La, Miami and I’ll be alright lol

I laughed out loud when I saw the headline on ESPN because I knew it would just be Giannis honestly answering a question.
