Payne is still a pretty competent shooter - 38% in his four seasons with Phoenix. He's better with the ball, a better passer and a capable defender. I'd take him over Carter 10/10 times. And he's proven he can play in the playoffs.

Oh he is gonna shoot it. Almost a 25% usage compared to Jevon at 15% last year.

This is a good signing. We now have no huge holes in the roster or rotation. Now all we need is health and for the Marjon revolution to begin.

Was best available by a mile at our biggest need signed for the minimum. Works for me.

Preferably might have wanted a guy with more of a defensive rep but Cam Payne is a solid back up PG for late min signing, replacing Jevon Carter/Goran Dragic here.

I am intrigued on how Griffin coaches defense. We have obviously downgraded in our defensive guard depth, but it always felt like Toronto played dogged, effort, defense. It is going to look totally different, and I wonder if we will have the same problems with teams hunting Brook and forcing him out of drop coverage.

Brogdon for Pat and Bobby is something to consider at this point. I know health is a huge concern. But Malcolm fills both needs this roster currently has. Starting SG and backup PG. Opens a spot for Bullock too.

Lillard........Payne...........AJJ
Brogdon......Beasley.........Green
Middleton....Beauchamp....Bullock
Giannis.......Crowder........Thanasis
Brook.........Portis...........Robin

Your depth chart still has Bobby on it? Brogdon for Pat and Bobby is a horrific trade and forces us into being totally incapable of matching up with any team with true size (see Cleveland).

The Brogdon train has run its course in Milwaukee. He is not a need anymore with Payne on the roster. The biggest difference between us and the Celtics right now is that in the creation of our starting lineup we didn't absolutely decimate our bench.

I would rather do Alex Caruso if there is a possibility at all.

that's not going to happen. we just saw Holiday go for a king's ransom relative to what he's worth in any normal situation.

boston and milwaukee both feel pretty good about their roster right now so they are good, but then you have Denver, Phoenix, Philly, LAC, LAL, Miami maybe.. all these teams will feel pressure to add at some point, especially when they see us and boston on pace for 60+ wins. so unless Chicago is completely stupid (hehehe), they will give their starters until the trade deadline to **** or get off the pot and then make moves when they confirm they got nothing. This is when Caruso will become the belle of the ball and the bid war is going to be stupid. So, we can't afford him.

You are right. This is the correct one.

Lillard........Payne...........AJJ
Brogdon......Beasley.........Green
Middleton....Beauchamp....Bullock
Giannis.......Crowder........Livingston
Brook.........Robin...........Thanasis

I don't like it.

I kinda doubt Brodgon wants to come back not to mention the injury issues

I feel pretty good about this roster, I think we have somebody that step up to be the 5th starter or could even do it situationally. Its a great opportunity for someone, we got shooters and defenders so who is gonna take advantage?
