I'm not necessarily saying Doc's wrong to not play the kids, either.

That’s the problem. MarJon, Livingston, Green and even Ajax just haven’t proved they can do much.

As much as I dog Hammond, our heart cries for a Brogdon or Mbah a Moute player out of the 2nd round.

Been waiting on this gut feeling but I’m gonna be brave.

The title and giving Giannis pseudo Gm powers has made everyone comfortable. One of Giannis’s greatest attributes is one of his greatest weaknesses and that’s loyalty. Think about it. The Dame trade was highway robbery from an asset standpoint and the alleged GM still had to get it signed off on.

This year Bucks fans are out for blood because they can sense this isn’t a title team. They are after guys like PC, Bobby, etc because they don’t want to address the real problems. There is no fire/desire in this team. They either assume a deep playoff run is going to be given to them or they simply DGAF.

They’re old. They’re slow. Everyone knows it but can’t possibly fathom the idea of changing the core. Nostalgia is a powerful drug. Sure it doesn’t feel it but by the end of this summer we’re three years removed from the title and entering year 7 of being considered a title front runner. Giannis will be looking at his age 30 season. Youth is the most unfaithful mistress.

Went into last nights game thinking we just do a minor move, like MarJon for Dunn.

But it was an eye opener, that just reconfirmed your point on nostalgia. Pat, Bobby and Midds need to be on the market this week. Horst needs to take the best deal that brings in a couple live bodies.

New plan.

1. Play Ajax.
2. Find 2 or 3 guys under 27 who are athletic, coachable. Bonus if they can hit the three. If Celtics can pull dudes like Neemias Queta from nothing than so can we.
3. Bobby, Pat, Cam, Malik out.
4. Stagger the old heads. Can never have three of Dame, Khris, Jae, Brook on the floor at once. That means Khris to the bench.

Dame
Young Guy
Ajax
Giannis
Brook

Khris, Jae, Young guy off the bench.

Me personally. I’d have Pat, Bobby, Jae, and Payne on the way out and one of Brook or Middleton

Yeah AJJ has shown some flashes, he's also sucked many games. He certainly should get some playing time but penciling him in as a key contributor on a contender (yes we are still a contender) is way premature.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Can we pry away any legitimate stars if we add Middleton and / or Brook into the trading pot?

This current team is definitely not a contender. We are 100% a 2nd tier team.

The problem with dealing Brook relates to Giannis.

1. In a bygone era, Giannis would be a center, like Kareem, Hakeem or Shaq. In the current era (and with Giannis ball handling skills), he doesn't want that. He can't take the banging down low or the limits that would place on him. He'd veto it.

2. If we trade Brook, you need a center back who can space the floor for Giannis. When we got Brook in 2018, that's what unlocked the Freak. We'd have to acquire a guy like Olynk or Jonas who can space. But our defense might go further down the **** then.

I call this the Jimmy Haslam "keep em competitive till we move the team to Nashville" special.

LA Lakers:
In: Brook and Dame
Out: Anthony Davis and salary/draft capital to make it work

Atl:
In: Lakers salary, Lakers stuff, Bucks stuff
Out: Dejounte Murray

Milwaukee:
In: Anthony Davis and Dejounte Murray
Out: Dame, Brook, plus stuff to make it work.

No, I'm not endorsing this deal. Just stirring the pot on a foggy and cold Milwaukee morning.

Out of curiosity, would people rather have Harden or Dame right now?

This is funny because i've been thinking about this too lol. I actually think given the way we play Harden would absolutely be better than Dame on this team.
