Lol, this team is not winning a championship, what a puff piece. We're 1 game from the halfway mark and I literally have no idea how anyone could see these 35 games and think to themselves, "Yeah, this team could do it."

Like Jrue as a player but yea he wasn’t the guy to go all in on. I don’t know what needed to happen behind the scenes with Giannis but Paul or Harden was the option.

It seems we are more just a good stat padding regular season team, than a championship contender team. Hard to admit, even harder to swallow it.

I was a Paul guy, Jrue is just too similar to Bledsoe and never did anything of note in his career. Hope he can step it up in the playoffs, we’re gonna have to pay this dude that max and he might be a total dude.

Look around the league, who else is there? It's wide open this year.

Of course this team could do it. Probably won't, but certainly could.

Which is a cop out and an open refusal to objectively look at where this team is at. Do you think those defensive lapses just disappear when teams actually game-plan against you? They get worse. I don't see us getting out of the east and we're CERTAINLY not beating anyone that comes out of the West. We're 6-10 against teams with a record of .500 above. Amongst playoff teams that ranks 13th. We have EXTREMELY limited resources to improve ourselves while other teams will look to do just that at the deadline pushing us even further behind.

More wide open than normal? Sure. Does that mean Milwaukee is a player in that mix. Nope.

IDK, as long as AD and Lebron are both healthy for the playoffs I don't think it's really that wide open. Seemed like a much more even playing field last year imo. Before the bubble the LAs and MKE essentially were all even. Now, LAL is a tier of their own if healthy, but yes after that it is fairly even for a lot of teams on that tier. I supposed once GSW got hurt the year before that was more open too.

All these years we never risked going for a blockbuster trade at the end we gave for Jrue what we should have offered for the other all-nba players that were traded.

Jrue is a good player but i am afraid not great enough to elevate this team to championship level.

Should there be any concern that an extension has not yet be reached? Feel like he would have signed it day 1 if max was the offer.

Wondering if the Bucks are allowed to trade Jrue mid-season this year.

This could go both ways. It might mean Jrue is hesitant to extend but it might also mean they're negotiating, which is a good thing because it indicates he might not be able to command a max salary.

Personally I feel that the Bucks should be able to get him for a little less than the max if they sign him in-season because a guy in his tier sometimes has to sacrifice a little money for the security of extending early, unlike KD for example who knew the max would be available from multiple teams even if he suffered a major injury, which he did.

Still despise the trade as an all-time top-5 worst move one of my teams has ever made but I'm not completely giving up on Jrue making the team better in the playoffs and possibly even helping them to a title. I just think there would have been better ways to make the team better in the playoffs if they had been more patient.

This is how a Jrue extension plays out:

The Bucks had to understand the situation (including the leverage they gave Jrue) when they made the trade, so they made their bed and have to lay in it. They hitched their wagon to Jrue, and there's basically no turning back.

That's all the cliches I got - for now.

The Bucks would have to be clicking chemistry-wise, similarly to the Heat last season, if they are going to win a title this season because the roster doesn't seem like a championship roster.

One underrated tragedy of the Jrue trade is the fact that George Hill is absolutely going to be traded to another contender before the deadline.

Do we think something happened with Hill and the franchise last summer? There seems to be a lot of bad blood there, but maybe it's just the trade itself?

Wonder if we could have gotten Towns for a similar Jrue package.

We're not even close, look at the AD trade. Pelicans got the 4th pick of the draft, plus the picks and pick swaps, but also the super valuable Brandon Ingram, Lonzo, along with Hart.
