Re: Giannis - 2X MVP - FMVP - DPOY - 27 Years Old
I just think it brings unnecessary headlines and "drama" when he says things so specifically. Why not just say, you never know what will happen in the future when reporters ask him this stuff? Saying you might play for a specific team will always cause waves that the fans have to hear about ad nauseam via media and other fan bases.
Not a huge deal, just feels like a tiny slight to the bucks fans who do support him. But that's my cross to bear. I'll get over it LOL.

Re: Giannis - 2X MVP - FMVP - DPOY - 27 Years Old
I just think this is a case of Giannis honestly and innocently answering a question before he could properly filter it. I mean, he's right BUT do you really have to say that? Or at least, phrase it a little differently. I don't know, doesn't bother me. As long as we have talent around him, he isn't going anywhere. Him leaving for a bigger market while we still have "good enough" talent around him would be a pretty big hit to his legacy, and we know he's aware of that.

His athleticism will eventually erode and he will have a massive decline in his production when it does. We would be shrewd to deal him in 2-3 years before the downturn happens and a desperate team like Chicago would give up almost everything to be halfway relevant again.

Re: Giannis - 2X MVP - FMVP - DPOY - 27 Years Old
I could be wrong but I feel like this is a 100% troll job by Giannis.
I don't know Giannis personally, but based on what I know about him from being a Milwaukee Buck for the past 9 years, he's trolling a rival fan base to get them all excited about something that will never happen. He's basically just effing with them. Giannis would be the type to do this to Bulls fans and it's hilarious....lol.
Even if things went sour with the Bucks and Giannis left Milwaukee, I think Giannis would still have a level of loyalty and respect to Milwaukee that he wouldn't go to a rival team. I can't imagine Giannis leaving the Bucks, but if things got bad and he did end up leaving (which is possible) I feel like the Bulls wouldn't be a team he would want to play for.
I might be a bit worried if he said he'd go to the Knicks or some random team. The Bulls? He's trolling them.

This is literal insanity. People really will just post anything no matter how dumb.

This Giannis and Bulls garbage, better end up being exactly that - garbage. Gonna pretend I never even saw that.

Giannis also did not rule out finishing his basketball career on Mars

I would be surprised if he is in Milwaukee after 3 years. You have his desire to play in a big market and the fact that the Bucks can deal him when he enters the backend of his career (around 30). His game is all about athleticism, players that exclusively rely on that taper after 30. If the Bucks can move him for a max haul towards the end of this contract they must do it. It’s not insanity it is good business and will keep the franchise in a good place

I had a feeling people would get excited about this. Giannis isn't going anywhere unless he has takes a huge pay cut and Chicago trades us the rights to Jordan's jersey and likeness for the rest of humanity.

Sucks for you that this has already been quoted.

I think the Bulls should offer a couple of 1st round picks for Thanasis to plant the seed.

Not even really sure why we're discussing this again. I get why ESPN would pick it up and run with it, but we've been here how many times by now? It's Giannis being both very honest about the future always being uncertain and also polite about the place he was asked about. He'd like to play with Steph, he'd like to play in Chicago, he'd like to play in LA, he'd like to play with Dame. Why waste your time with it?

No, we don't have a demonstrated desire to play in a big market. He will still be one of the biggest, most athletic, strongest players into his 30s with added midrange nuance. He's a big, and that makes such a massive difference when it comes to lost athleticism. He's not at the same disadvantages that a lot of guys are in those situations. We literally just saw him win a championship in dominating fashion, on one leg, in a role that would suit aged Giannis. Giannis has a FAR deeper bag when it comes to release angles around the rim using his length than people want to admit.

Giannis was in Chicago and asked a question by a Chicagoan reporter. What was he going to say, "Hell no, Chicago is a cesspit."
He was being nice.

This is next level dumb. It's not even insanity, because that is an excuse for dumb **** like this. This is absolutely mental.

Comments like this from a transplanted hero are when MKE’s insecurities truly get to shine.

It's like people completely forget the Dunleavy playoffs.
