Part of me hoped the Nets got Harden last year cause there was a chance something would cause it to go in flames. By the end of the season, i hated myself for that part of me. Now that part of me is having the last laugh.

Time was always going to win with the bet on that trio.

Bertans hasn't really worked out for the Wiz. Will have to attach a pick to get out of that massive contract

First week of the season lays out a scenario of peak parity. Lakers, Nets, Bucks all go down.

I like watching basketball, but I don't care who wins or loses. Even in Bucks games. We entered the playoffs last season with the 7th best record in the league. This might as well be an 82 game preseason as far as I'm concerned. Just get through healthy and I'll consider that a success.

The East is the Nets, Heat, Hawks and us. The order we finish doesn't really matter, we are actually the best example in the League that it doesn't matter one bit. Nash was also saying some BS in the media conference before G7 that "this is why we fought all year, so we can have home court in G7 and you all see now how important it is".
And then they lost LOL

If we get out of the East that's a successful season for me.

It looked to me like Bam was already recovering by the time Harden flailed his arms. Granted Bam is a great athlete but it just seems like Harden has lost some of his already moderate explosion.

Yep, looks like a young stud right now. I thought he was being underrated in the draft community but he's looked even better than I expected.

It's actually kind of awesome how much young talent is in the league. The last few drafts have been a great injection into the league. Legitimately think we could add an expansion team or two without totally diluting the talent extremely (while I'm not sure that would have been possible 10 years ago).

All true. Of course it's preferable to have the top seed and HC but at the end of the day we've shown we can win without that.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Sure but our winrate at home was far superior than our road winrate. Having one more home game every series would certainly be a big advantage.

And we've shown we can lose with it. Twice.

I definitely did not imagine it'd get this weird this fast. Dude just got outscored by PJ.

Since you've mentioned him I wanted to say that PJ looks in ridiculous shape compared to last year. Not sure it's due to being in Miami with their training regiment or just letting himself go in Houston and just needing an off-season to work through that but he looks pretty good.

Just wanted to post that I have been impressed that refs are actually following thru with not calling the flops and bs (for the most part). I have enjoyed watching basketball more now than in a while.
