Obviously depends on the return, but seems like a horrible time to trade him and Im very concerned it will be in a win now deal.

A win now deal would be just so amazingly typical of this moronic organization. But if we got an expiring and a 1st...whatever, let's take it and move on.

Would or is Bogut considered a bust if he's dealt right now? #1 overall pick and never won a playoff series with him. Is that unfair? Kind of an interesting legacy brewing for him too.

This. I actually feel sick, like that an awful win-now deal could be the death knell of this team in Milwaukee.

i know, it is never going to happen, but the thought just popped into my head and i got all tingly for a second. Then reality hit me again :(

Ironically the best win now move the organization could make using Bogut would likely be to keep Bogut.

How is Bogut tradeable right now when he probably won't play again this season unless we are going to give him away?

When is the last time someone was traded when they were hurt?

Bogut's time frame for the injury was 8-12 weeks 6 weeks ago yesterday and it hasn't changed, he's back in full rehab and has been working out for a couple of weeks now. Which part of that says he won't play again this season to you?

Not only that he may play this year, but it's pretty short sighted to use his current injury as a reason to not trade for him. If it's a lotto team, why do they need him this year anyways? They are likely assuming they are ready to make a leap forward and would prefer a legitimate player like Bogut to add to their core rather than hold a lotto ticket. We need the lotto ticket more, if for nothing more than the hope that it hits and we get Davis and a renewed sense of hope and excitement.

But yeah, I can certainly see a case being made for a mid lotto team valuing Bogut more than their pick.

I'm certain you're not the only Aussie feeling that way right now, probably including the one the rumor is about. :D

Yeah, who wants to win now. I prefer to win much later, like after I am dead.

Bogut is fairly win now so I don't share the anxiety.

I have no problem with the idea of 'win now'. I just have zero faith that this team has the intelligence to pull it off. Jamal Crawford being discussed as a trade target is a perfect example of this.

I don't want him to be traded, mostly out of fear of the return. I just want the Bucks to stop giving him the ball on offense ever. Let him get tip-ins, set screens and play defense. Also, only play him 25-30 minutes per game.

Then you should want him traded for DeAndre Jordan and a first.

No, I explained what I want pretty clearly.

Trading Bogut for vets would be the ultimate sign of desperation. Might as well include Harris and our 2012 1st as well.

Yes, you described DeAndre Jordan. If that's what you want why not trade him for Jordan and an asset? I have to imagine you could get it - then have the Clippers play Bogut at more than the 50% capability you want him to play at.

I imagine Bogut will be a Buck next week at this time. If he is actually traded, the return will probably be something I don't want to see (Martin, Dalembert, etc).
Go Bucks!

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
