Right. To try and steal potentially Lebron. But, would he actually go to LA now to play with IT?

I for one don't see IT as a top player. Not even close. Seems he and Lebron didn't work / get along.

I doubt that the Lakers intend to pay IT next year.

Well, there is that. I forgot he's a FA. But yet they gave up quite a bit to not keep him right?

When you have LeBron James you should be all-in on right now. If you're not, there's no reason for him to be on your team. Nor should he wanna play on a team like that.

Agreed. Problem is we are getting to the point where you may have to add a legit star to compete. They are grasping at straws

I have to think this is about life after Lebron and having some young pieces. I don't really like the trade for the Cavs, but they do get two young players that can kind of help now, just not sure why in the world they gave up a first unless Lebron was making the trade and decided he wanted that first for when he goes to the Lakers.

Maybe Gilbert thought he was getting Kuzma and screwed up the name on the paperwork.

Yeah, this is just a cap space dump for them. They're going to maintain maximum flexibility to add as many stars as they can.

I don't think LeBron is going to LA, though. Maybe PG?

They're undoubtedly desperate. But so long as your franchise has LBJ, you act as shamelessly desperate as you see fit.

Getting Ennis instead of Zeller would have been MUCH better

The fact that a team with Lebron can be so irrelevant probably means Lebron's prime is over.
