So much this. Tiger King is what everyone is talking about, but Ozark might end up being one of the best show's of all-time if it stays as good as it has been through three seasons. Hardly a peep about it on here.

I'm going through Ozark now too, two episodes left I'll get done this afternoon. While very good and I recommend to anyone there is some issues with it that I'd hold it back from best ever discussion. But, there is some holes in all shows so I fully acknowledge it's nitpicking. For example, in Breaking Bad's hype it's just completely overlooked that the wife and oldest kid's stories are just awful and the acting of their characters is awful. In comparison, I can't think of a bad actor so far in Ozark. Yes, some stories/characters I could nitpick but the acting I think has been great by everyone.

But, Batement should get all kinds of nominations/awards for his performance. I was disappointed he had a line in this season where he said "keep our heads down" and he didn't follow with "and power through" as a callback to Arrested Development.

Post again after the last two episodes, as those are two incredible episodes. Uncle Ben and Wife Wendy deserve awards for episode 9 alone.

Love Ozark. I don't care about plot holes. You'll find them in virtually every show. If I'm entertained is what I care about. Ozark entertains me.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Ben has been acted incredibly well the whole time. But the whole character is a big hole in itself. But as said, you're gonna have that in any show. I mean, I didn't say it wasn't very good, it's not like I ripped on it.

The Marty and Wendy scene with their blowup n front of the therapist was an all time great TV scene.

Anyone watching new season of Westworld?
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.

Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

I'm enjoying it. Being more straightforward helps a lot.

I'm one of the high rollers in the poker game in Ozark Season 3, Episode 1. I am sad to report that Frank Jr. did not swear at me.

LMAO just finished Ozark. Wow.

Everyone was the usual amount of great but I really thought Ben was a great addition. The actor was awesome in Banshee, awesome in Iron Fist, awesome in this.

Ruth was easily my favourite part of Ozark again. The actor did his part well but couldn't have cared any less about the Ben character at all.

I love Ruth so much. No way I'd be watching the show if she wasn't in it.

Oh yea I forgot he was in Banshee. I told some friends today talking about that he set himself for a big time role in something else after this, incredible performance.

But, as another poster just said. The character itself was forced into the show to create problems. The whole love connection was forced. Wendy's handling of him (prior to the end) and well most things Wendy does is to create problems. But, as we said these are the things you have to suspend disbelief in order to enjoy a really great show like this one. I thought Wendy would do it herself and kind of be a big breaking bad type moment for her or similar to Jax killing his mom with a big emotional scene. They accomplished the same thing with her breakdown though, I like the route they went better than if she did it.

Assuming there is some ensemble type award for acting this cast should get it, everyone including the kids (which are tough to find) did a great job. Bateman should get nominated for everything.

Curious about the ending and how the boss came to that decision, I'm assuming Helen didn't get the chance to show here 'news' yet. But really why wouldn't she show them right away, but the bosses could easily see through that if they thought about.

Great show, recommend to everyone. Set up to go several more years with the Langmores on the other side now as a rival. Just have to ignore the giant flaw that he had no reason not to just take a deal way at the beginning of this all. Once you get past that, the holes are just like any other show, no big deal and easy to ignore.

Also, as probably the biggest Tom Petty fan on here I appreciate the reference at the beginning of episode 9. I assume a writer is a big fan and put that in.

You guys like Bateman a lot more than I do. I don't buy how expressionless, emotionless he is in the face of everything. He's wooden as hell in the face of an impossible amount of stress. His expression never changes. It's completely bizarre. He's the weakest link on the show to me.

Bunker from Banshee looked cool but was very shallow, had much more of a character here....

Bateman is pretty damn good at drama imo, better than Rudd’s attempts..

I’m stuck right at the middle of S2 of ‘Succession’. Late to the party I know but, um, yeah, it’s one of my favorite things right now. The writing is Shakespearean. Tragedy, comedy, dysfunctional family dynamics. It’s got it all.

If there are any classic film fans here, since TCM had to cancel their annual festival, they're doing a home version from 4/16 through early Monday morning on 4/20. Will include special guests talking about the movies and some recordings from previous festival interviews of people like Faye Dunaway, Peter O'Toole and Eva Marie Saint. You can see the schedule here.
