I guess this means Kalaitzakis isn't ready.

Outside of nepotism there's no point of brining him back. Give him a role on staff or whatever.

Not quite an apt comparison. UW fans don't necessarily hate him for the shenagians in college (similar to what Davison has done), it's that one specific game where he got on fire at the absolute worst time. And yea in that stretch he got an And 1 for himself by stopping and elbowing our guy in the face but it's just that he won that game for them.

I hope so, but they may be doing him a solid and letting him chase a bigger contract and then come back as a fall back plan. I think he showed he is an NBA player this year. Would be great for him to get on a bad team and get a bit of a larger role and see if he can turn himself into a Jonathan Simmons kind of guy.

Yea I've thought that too. Hire him as assistant strength coach or some BS and let him travel and hang, motivate, etc. If something happens and you need to grab a guy for a 10 day contract he's right there. But if he wants to actually play the game I'm sure he could have a good time in Europe.

That being said if it just costs us Bryant or something like that then go ahead i guess.

I still want Thanasis on a vet min contract. Just something about him on the sideline that I need as a fan.

Sign Thanasis and let's roll into the season
Coach Drew: "Milwaukee has always been a team that I have been intrigued by. When we played them, they were a tough team for us to play. Although we did beat them all four times"

Just the mental support of Giannis alone worth the money.

I'm sort of oblivious to Allen's career as an NBA player, but going by college, and looking at more recent metrics (early ones were kind of ugly), this seems like a significant improvement from what Merrill will ever likely be, by more of a difference than later 2nds, and would have more immediate impact; so it's probably a good move.

He surely can't guard big wings though and I don't want to use our star's legs on that (in so far as they're even good at it). If they somehow pull off the move of a quality 3&d w/ their limited options, to address our #1 need, I'll be content w/ the offseason, in spite of the earlier hand-wringing.

Horst read my poorly constructed post and said "I'll show him" so what you should be doing is thanking me.

Thanasis is worth it as a minimum. I love the energy he brings. And I think he makes it more fun/easier for Giannis.
I want him back.
