I do, apparently you do not understand how contracts work however.

Tbh with that take i'm assuming you have 0 idea how contracts work

Beal is not a number 1, that I think we can agree on. The Wizards have not had a winning season since 2017/18. After that season they made the decision as a franchise to build around Beal and he not only is paid as such but has a no trade clause that transfers to his new team for the length of his contract (only player in NBA that has this, essentially making him impossible to trade for value no matter what kind of player he is)

Maybe this will help as well.

Beal (no trade clause = you can only trade this contract to a team of his choosing for players of his choosing)
2022/23 $43,279,250
2023/24 $46,741,590
2024/25 $50,203,930
2025/26 $53,666,270
2026/27 $57,128,610

Giannis
2022/23 $42,492,492
2023/24 $45,640,084
2024/25 $48,787,676
2025/26 $51,935,268

If Beal and Giannis don't win, then most likely Giannis is gone because he now is the only asset you have left and he will want to leave, no way to build around him and you can't trade Beal for assets because he will not accept a trade to a team where they trade away any of their stars. Beal is a nice player, but that contract is awful.
Dealing with people who exhibit the "smartest person in the room" syndrome can be a challenge. One approach is to listen their opinion while also encouraging open-mindedness. It's important to create an environment where all voices are valued.

And that would have been a catastrophically stupid trade.

You don't know where we were trading Jrue, or who else we were getting in the deal.

It's important to remember Horst executes more multi team deals than 2 team deals.

For sure, but trading JRue for Beal would've been catastrophic.

Does that work salary wise?

If so, it’s tempting because Poole/Jrue/Midds/Kuminga/Giannis is intriguing.

Carter/Green/Khris/Giannis/Portis
Can finish Top2 in the East on regular season.

Bench Jrue/Allen/Pat/Crowder/Brook can destroy all opponents second squads.

Yes, this is how incompetent our backcourt is on offense. Would rather try to get Carter or Green hot from the 3.

It is not going to happen so let's trade Jrue before his value plummets.
Giannis needs to whistle Horst to shuffle the roster, cause noone wants to be responsible to make Giannis unhappy.

I have no clue what our coaches are doing right now ... They should lock themselves in a room for 3 days with Horst and make a plan how to move on with current roster or trade a core player. I suspect they are on vacations and they will figure out what to do next summer.

Horst, I shouldn't hint you GM moves for free and RealGM should pay me to post here... BUT I am a generous guy ....

Go get my 2022 2nd alternative draft pick Gabriele Procida. Pistons have his rights and is stashed at EU. Sign him a 3 year rookie scale minimum deal with RFA. He was drafted #36 last year, how would that cost in cash? 2M ? Go get him.

That's a tempting trade offer if GSW would offer that.

I guess my idea is:

Resign Brolo for 3 years with 3rd year an option year.

One big trade idea:
Nets get: #10 from Mavs, Portis, & Connaughton
Nets need a starting 4 because Simmons is not that. They get the #10 pick and a good vet in Pat.

Raps get: K.Leonard. Raps get a guy back who helped them win the finals. Also I think tge Raps trade Sialam to Houston for #4 & salary and then trade OG to Pistons for #5.

LAC gets: Jrue, Achiuwa. NOW with the Beal trade I do think LAC trade for CP3.

OKC gets: J. Poeltl, Grayson. Poeltl becomes the 5 and Grayson could start or be 6th man.

Mavs get: Middleton, and J. Carter. Middleton with Luka and probably a resigned Kyrie.

Bucks get: #21, #22, L.Dort, K. Williams, FVV, C.Johnson, C.Wood, & THJ.
Bucks get younger, Wood takes Bobby's spot, FVV is our 1, Cam becomes our 3, Dort our 2, with Williams backing up Giannis or playing some 3 also. Then the 2 picks.

MKE in: Norman Powell, #30; MKE out: Bobby, Grayson
LAC in: Bobby, Grayson; LAC out: Powell, #30

Bucks get an upgrade at SG and a late 1st while the Clips get some much needed big man depth and shooter to replace Kennard and Powell.

Could we do a sign and trade with Lopez to try to get Ayton? Lopez fits their team better and would match up better with Jokic. We would get younger.

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
