This isn't good. The only reason I felt okay about Griffin was Stotts. Hard not to assume there were philosophical differences which is scary.

If AD is a GI approved/desired hire, then Bucks have to live with whatever is going on for however it takes to play out before things come to a head. And they will.
GI/AD confused the hell out of me.
Sucks that TE quit, was hoping he could also get BR and KH open looks from 3. PA, BO, and MA1 and MA2 also would have benefited.

Not so sure if this is a blow to Dame morale, if I were him I would kinda want to get away from Portland completely for a while, not be coached by the same guy who we lost a bunch with in Portland. This isnt the best either way

You think he was just blowing smoke up Terry's ass with his public comments about being reunited with him? Seemed genuine to me, but yeah hopefully it's not too big of an issue for him to get over it.

What have Edens and Horst done that makes you think they would do an all encompassing search and get it spectacularly wrong?

Well it starts with the reports that Griffin wasn't the first choice of the Front Office and ownership but he's who Giannis wanted
Coach Drew: "Milwaukee has always been a team that I have been intrigued by. When we played them, they were a tough team for us to play. Although we did beat them all four times"

What is he supposed to say? Thats pretty standard in a situation like that, like I said, who is to know but I see an angle where Dame is more than okay with this

People who automatically think this way generally are toxic in their own right.
There would need to be some serious dysfunction for Stotts to step down so soon.
I'm not sure if that criticism is directed at me or Wonka but just to be clear, it wasn't about Stotts/Griffin tension.
He was saying that our practices were "toxic" because Griffin wanted them to be more intense and competitive. That's pure fiction and that's what I was objecting to.

True. That also seemed genuine to me, but I don't think Dame cares much if RoLo is waived.
He just seemed to go out of his way to say how happy he was to be reunited with Stotts and implementing a system that he has already mastered, is all I'm saying. Maybe I am misremembering, but I don't think those statements were provoked by a specific question from a reporter or something.
At the end of the day, though, Dame is a pro's pro and a big boy. He'll get over it if he's maybe a little bummed out. He's still in a great situation.

Besides, without the approval of WE and the winsome ME, along with D&J H, what difference does it make what JH thinks?

Except Giannis' comments the very next month that set all the "he's leaving" talk into a frenzy seemed to douse cold water on that.

Really strange. Not a good omen for the upcoming season. I’m giving the organization the benefit of the doubt for now. But this doesn’t feel good.

If Giannis is the catalyst for Stotts resigning because he thinks he’s Kobe and doesn’t want to play off ball I will burn the Fiserv to the ground.

This is the dark place my mind went to also but I'm trying to not let the darkness take me. It would go very much against what Giannis has been saying publicly though.

Re: Stotts Steps Down
Griff has coached under Skiles, Thibs, and Nurse. It's pretty easy to imagine he'd have a fairly abrasive personality. We all heard on the woj pod the other day that Griff had interviewed 13 times before this for a HC job but didn't get hired at any of them. It's reported he wasn't the 1st choice of the front office and ownership. It certainly makes me wonder why all these other teams didn't seem to want him.

He may not be the bad guy and should be in control of the staff from hiring to getting them on-board with his plans. That clearly did not happen.
