Between them, the two rosters have 29 OK NBA players and Giannis. He is the sole difference between the two squads. Take him off the Bucks and have them play the Bulls 80 times, each team would win 40.

Barring a miraculous visit to the Fountain of Youth by Dame and Khris, the Bucks aren't going anywhere this playoffs. Their window is gone.

Giannis has really been carrying the roster pretty much 85% of the season. Dame is still really good and it’s obvious that his presence has a positive effect on Giannis’s efficiency but it’s still pretty much Giannis and crew. Don’t really think it’s that bad of a thing either.

The real part about it is how common Giannis makes everybody else look by comparison. That's not just these two teams, though. That's everybody. Singular player at the peak of his powers.

Jrue Holiday has a different role with the Celtics. He isn't the lead guard. He has the ball a lot less and is surrounded by shooters. He's shooting 45% on threes and 65% from the corners. Leaving him alone isn't a strategy worth considering, although it's a fun narrative.

On the other hand, the Celtics will have their own defensive worries against the Bucks.

Nothing in Jrue’s history suggests 65% on corner threes is sustainable.

BR has him at 68% on corner threes on the season. That's insane. He shot 46% last year from the corner.

Honestly, that is one of the more ridiculous outlier stats I can remember.

It's not shocking that mortals shot poorly in a back to back that's their 3rd game in 4 days. The fact that Giannis doesn't let that effect him is further proof he's not mortal.

Celtics would have lost this game by 30.
