These are some targets I think could help us that are less than Portis' salary (1 y / $12.6M). Some are less than Pat's salary too (2 yr / $9.4M). Would like to hear thoughts on the fit and any drawbacks to each of these players. There are warts with some of these players but I feel like they each fit what we need and are somewhat attainable.

Larry Nance Jr: 1y / $11.2M - Age 32
Jalen Smith: 3 yr / $8.6M - Age 24
Jae'Sean Tate: 3 yr / $7.6M - Age 29
Wendell Carter: 4 yr / $12M - Age 25
Brandon Clark: 3 yr / 12.5M - Age 28
Paul Reed: 2 yr / $7.7M - Age 25
- Wendell Moore: 2 yr / $2.5M - Age 23 (could be added to a Bobby Trade. Sasser is an option too, but Rollins is promising.)
Jarred Vanderbilt: 4 yr / $10.7M - Age 25 (would be difficult given both teams would be over the 2nd apron)

Those are some good, practical ideas. Welcome to the board.

A team that wins a title is usually the favorite to win it again the following year.

If we actually won it all this year, and then intentionally sabotaged the team, just to get some of our future picks back, but get worse in the short term - I think the fanbase should raise absolute hell.

It’s overthinking it, imo.

The fan base should raise absolute hell if the cupboard is bare next to Giannis in a couple seasons so they're forced to trade him 5 years early, then endure that period where they don't have him nor their own picks.

Front offices are supposed to be more rational decision makers than the average fan. It's not over-thinking, just thinking.

I don't think Wendell Carter can be traded this year, would love to see him on the Bucks though.
Dealing with people who exhibit the "smartest person in the room" syndrome can be a challenge. One approach is to listen their opinion while also encouraging open-mindedness. It's important to create an environment where all voices are valued.

Would anyone do Pat and Bobby for Pat Williams and draft capital? He has the worst contract in the league but it looks like the trade would work, and he gives us that switchable but we so desperately need on D. Bulls would probably have to toss in some sweeteners just to get out of that contract. He’s not tradeable till January though.

Gross. I want no part of Cam Thomas.

I'd rather take my chances with Horst using the pick.

I'll believe Middleton is back when I see him out there. Though I will note that Middleton's ramp up to return just happened to coincide with me calling him and the Bucks out on this board for their lack of transparency about his progress. :P

Don't ever doubt the power of the RealGM Bucks Board. 8-)

Lol thats the most Khris Middleton update of all time...

Look, people. Im antsy, too, but he needs to take all the time he needs.

If Aubrey Plaza said she would definitely date you but she had to warm up to the idea of lowering her standards dramatically, you wouldnt want to mess that up by rushing her.

Hes gonna be on the court. Its going to be great.

The last time we saw Khris Middleton, he was averaging 24.7 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 4.7 assists while playing 38 minutes per game in the playoffs.

I'll wait as long as it takes in the regular season, because this is just our preseason, and we're still figuring out who the players are who will flank Giannis and Khris come playoff time.

His form on free throws is good if you could just connect his leg movement to his arm movement. Instead it is segmented and essentially the entire shot is based on a low arc wrist flick shot. I have faith he will get there. At 75% from the line he is an absolute nightmare.

I'm late in replying to this but I strongly agree. He shoots free throws like a guy with incredible touch can shoot. Like Ray Allen can shoot like that and do it well. For a massive dude like Giannis who doesn't have that same type of touch and is often physically drained when he's at the line: more legs, one motion, more arc

I'd rather Khris take his time than go through what Embiid is doing with the Sixers.

Patty C would fit better with the Heat. He could hide his slow feet in their zone

He'd probably be ok with that, but I don't think I could stomach the tail risk of Pat being the Random Heat Role Player who shoots 8-11 from 3 against us.
