What i did not know is that hes already a good playmaker (with sloppy passing at times) and that he can look like an elite defender (although thats complicated). Add to that footwork and feel AND he gets to the line!

If he doesn't have the history, hes making 30M plus. Quite honestly, i dont think anyone will do that until they see him keep his head on for whatever this next contract is.

I wonder how many teams actually have cap space this off-season

Very few have cap space, and one of the teams that could create space is Houston, who already gave up assets to get KPJ off their team.

Yeah doubt Houston would take a second run at KPJ. I think he’s ours to keep unless he really blows up in the Playoffs.

Houston also have Amen who is basically a turbo version of KPJ.

Porter was pretty rubbish for the Clippers and I’m pretty sure they said they were doing a favour for him trading him to us. It’s turning out a win for us but I’m not sure they’re sweating it.

Lineups with Giannis and KPJ at +22 with both elite offensive and elite defensive numbers. Add Green and its +25, although much smaller sample.

The blueprint is there. Kpj playing pg and Green playing sg when Dame goes to the bench. Dame coming back in and then having free reign to be Portland Dame when Giannis and Kpj sit. Kuzma fits in better in these minutes.

His numbers were very bad. And its not like they didnt give him plenty if opportunities. His usage was the same there as it is here: very high.

LA nightlife?
Lack of leadership?
Inability to give him a defined role?

Im sure at the time they were relieved to see him go. But if youre a clipper fan, there is absolutely no way you see what hes been doing and not feel sick. He has been that good

Nobody on the Wolves had Gobert's back. Nobody.

I can't rule out the possibility that the Clippers gave us younger version FTD John Salmons. I'd still be very nervous re-signing him to a big contract this offseason, for completely different reasons. Just gonna enjoy the run while it lasts.

It's amazing after years of watching Dame, Brogdon, Bledsoe, Jrue, Kris, Wes, Hill, Green, Grayson and Trent it's such a relief on a breakaway or contested layup to have a guard that can dunk in KPJ.

The ill-advised pass across the body on the break, deflecting back into his hands enabling a perfectly-tossed lob to Giannis is the peak KPJ Experience.

Lost in all of this was KPJ getting a massive defensive rebound amongst much taller players under the hoop when the game was still in the balance.

We did a good job executing that zone, but it's hard to imagine a team handling it worse than the Wolves did. Like, we are not going to allow the pass to the nail, maybe after KPJ picks off the third one, try something else?

He already had a big season for the Rockets, so it's a false-equivalency. Basically he'd have done this in 2 straight seasons since turning 22, w/ the rough half season for another team after his hiatus.

Alright i think i figured out the kpj situation

Non tax payer mle is projected at 14.1 next season.

Two years at 14.1 with a player option for year two.
In the following off-season, he declines player option to re sign for 175% of previous salary (24.7m) for whatever length he wants. After that, we have full bird rights and he extends the Giannis window

Thats realistic. Thats happening.
