I don't know how Prince quicken his released but it looks fantastic this year. He's even coming off of screens a little bit. Nice to see.

It's opinion based. I respect your opinion.

My opinion on defense is being in a stance, and stopping momentum with footwork and physicality. The straight legged reaching isn't what I prefer and I don't think teams will be clamoring for his services unless Wizards attach value like we had to.

He and Cole Anthony were surprisingly good in the pick and roll.

KPJ going out hurt stinks. We look different with him playing.
Right.. the main thing we need to avoid is the 1 - 7 or 0 - 5 bs.. hopefully that left when Pat C, Donte and Brook left.

Kuz, or anyone we have, shooting an open 3 here and there isn't the major problem. The major problem is thinking after you are 0 - 2 you should shoot yourself hot (to prove your worth? Stats? Idk why they did this) -- early in the clock no less

This is the opposite of what were trying to do. We want more early clock 3s.

To quit shooting after a couple misses is a mathematical failure.

Kuzma? He's both a bad shooter and a bad finisher. He's a bad player. He'll play until the trade deadline, but if he isn't moved by then, he'll be iced.

Bruce Lee's motto for the martial art he created was strongest weapon to the closest target. As a metaphor for basketball, Kuzma's strongest weapon on THIS team right now is draw and kick. Draw and kick works if a defender leaves you open with space to get into him, hold the other defenders near the paint and find guys like GTJ, Prince, Turner and Bird who's strongest weapon is shooting from 3. If he shoots an open 3 once per half that might make the defender react to his pump fake later but unless he becomes a lethal shooter he should draw and kick as much as possible. If defenders start to scatter to shooters when he drives then power in and draw fouls.

Kuzma is not a good passer either, and is out of control on his drives. He doesn't draw help defenders on his drives because teams know he can't finish.

OK, you see it too. I didn't know if it looked quicker because I wanted it too, or if it was a actually faster. Much needed, because he couldn't get his previous slow release shot off in the playoffs.

Right, we'd be banking that it's easier to slow down and control his drives to find an open shooter than it is to become a lethal shooter.

He had a few nice draw and kicks last game so it gives hope. He was 0-2 from 3 last game. I'm fine with that, don't let it get to 0-4 and 0-5. If Dairy goes 0-5 trying to shoot himself hot that's fine but not Giannis or Kuz please.

Yes, but we have Kuzma.

We also have Myles Turner and no $100 million in luxury tax payments and aprons.

If he gets bought out one year from the trade date can we re-sign him?

They could have made it work. It would just mean no bobby Portis. But it also means no Kyle Kuzma.
still learning the game
